For those affected, a few words from someone who has been through a few Hurricanes.
Help your neighbors, if you can.
A full freezer can go several days if unopened, so plan several group cookouts,
only opening one freezer per day.
Keep eyes and ears open for ice and gasoline (this will be you focus for a while)
If you grill up too much, find other neighbors or working line crews and make a few plates.
Think of being without power for 8 to 10 days, and plan accordingly.
Your storm is different, in that it may not be ugly hot afterwords, but if working be
sure to get plenty of liquids.

I woke up with no cable this morning, but I never lost electricity. It was not too bad here at all. A few trees came down, and there is some flooding on some streets, mostly because the drains are clogged with leaves though. There are leaves and branches everywhere. Hope everyone came through okay.
