I believe Adam would like to raise the age to 80.

Again the law makes no such distinction between a gift or who it is for whether it be a legal relative or not. A straw purchase for a father to son for example makes no distinction and goes around no background check etc from a licensed dealer. It is a felony for anyone to purchase a weapon from a dealer for other then themselves, period.

If you are going to make a comment you mite want to actually look up the law first.

Pro gun groups tend to be anti Democratic Party. Adam is part of the "the Democratic Party can do no wrong" society

his giddiness is understandable since gun laws are mainly designed to hassle pro gun groups

If you are old enough to be drafted and if you are old enough to be sent to death row you are old enough to drink and buy a handgun

Yeah - Louisianna had that . . . we actually had that everywhere at one point or another.
There's a reason why it went up - and up - and up.

The average teenager is a retarded nitwit. I don't care about the ideal few - what they were taught or how they were raised or how well they do in school. The AVERAGE teenager is a retarded nitwit.

Or are we all trying to claim we were peaches or purity and precociousness?

I believe that our laws should be consistent. For example, I think that if a convicted felon pays his or her debt to society, he or she should be able to own a gun. What's your take on that?
"The necessaries of life occasion the great expense of the poor. They find it difficult to get food, and the greater part of their little revenue is spent in getting it. The luxuries and vanities of life occasion the principal expense of the rich, and a magnificent house embellishes and sets off to the best advantage all the other luxuries and vanities which they possess. ... It is not very unreasonable that the rich should contribute to the public expense, not only in proportion to their revenue, but something more than in that proportion."

Criminals can get a gun anyway so why not give them a permit?

    That's my opinion.

    1. It's only handguns.
    2. There are, iirc, exceptions for active military. There was military exception for drinking, but I guess drunken privates isn't great.

If that's the case then shouldn't we bar these people from smoking, voting, serving our country, enter into legal contracts and anything else that a 18 year old can do?
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

    Cicero Marcus Tullius
