These drinks are serious business and they haven't been around long enough for us to understand it's effects, but nobody should be drinking this stuff.
I'm talking specifically about caffeine intake. You, I suspect, are talking about other issues. You may very well be right. I don't know. I do know that I, and many other people I've known, have had numerous red bull & vodka's at nightclubs; and if you're not a moron about it, you're not going to end up in the ER. I gather from your other posts that you're concerned about long-term effects. That may very well be a viable concern. Again, I don't know. My gut reaction is that more research is needed. Energy drinks haven't really been around long enough for long-term impact to be properly assessed.

How many people die from alcohol and alcohol related accidetns each year. And tobacco related cancers and disease? Yet these products are legal and everywhere.

FDA = fooled your dumbass. If its FDA approved, it won't work lol. I love being a nutritional expert and certified for supplementation. If the FDA pulls a product that means its working and helping your body. They don't want that. That means less money for them. Does anyone take vitamin D3? Did you know the FDA doesn't allow vitamin D supplements to have even a fraction of the right amount your body actually needs to see any difference? So even tho it says 10,000 or 1,000 ius, that doesn't mean its all Vitamin D3.

    FDA really pisses me off.

But i love our country. GREED at its finest. lol.

I think the tobacco/booze v. this stuff is that everybody should know tobacco/booze are dangerous by the time they are old enough to use it but not this stuff which people assume would be safe. Sports creams have killed people because athletes were using so much of it they were effectively sucking down bottles of aspirin through their skin.

I was way worse, when we were younger we'd use energy drinks as mix...

By the end of the night it'd be 50% Monster, 50% Whiskey.

and if you're not a moron about it, you're not going to end up in the ER.
    Fair enough.

    That's pretty much it.

Especially young kids drinking this stuff when their hearts shouldn't be subjected at such an early age like I was drinking it the stress this stuff puts on your heart and things aren't helped if they continue to be heavy users of this stuff.

Energy drinks haven't really been around long enough for long-term impact to be properly assessed.
Everything in moderation, I don't want anyone to think I wanna ban the stuff. But I see kids these days drinking 3 or more cans of this stuff a day and nothing good can come from putting your heart under that much stress that such a massive caffeine and Taurine intake will put it under.

It's nitrous for the human heart. Like cars, take at your own risk.

People died after drinking a product that can be found in every grocery store and gas station in the country.

Does anyone here really have a problem with the FDA investigating? I mean, it's not like they've freaking banned the product, what on earth is the OP on about? YES, FERCHRISSAKES, THE FDA EXISTS SPECIFICALLY TO CHECK STUFF LIKE THIS OUT.

I had one once. It was a warning with a rectangular frame around it or something. They may have changed it up since then, but it said something like only drink one can in a 24 hour period. There was some guy in my platoon that drank at least 5 of those ****ing things a day, I'm surprised the fat bastard never keeled over.

Need to get energy drinks on the drug list so the DEA needs more officers, more SWAT gear for local police, certainly at least 1 more prison in every state and the drinks costing $20 each on the black market made in people's garages.

I heard on the radio that the girl also had a genetic condition that caused vascular issues to be easily exacerbated by stimulants. Not sure whether the parents were aware of her condition prior to death, though.
