Most world religions don't accept homosexuality.

The parents are not being violent, they're not being disruptive, they're simply talking about skipping a day of school.
You have the right to teach them that homosexuality is wrong, but the purpose of the event is to say that it's not acceptable to bully someone. For being gay or any other reason. They shouldn't be teaching their kids that that's acceptable.

I get annoyed by the hypocrisy in threads like this. You guys say it's about accepting people for who they are.

What is this thread? It's yet another opportunity for haters to tee off on Christianity, on religion, on traditional values. It's an opportunity for haters to spew their hate.

You guys are no better than the AFA or whoever you're whining about. Hypocrites.

Yes, except that it has nothing to do with homosexuality.

I'm not hating on anyone's religion. I'm saying that if the thing they're protesting is anti-bullying, you'd think that Christians would be in favor of that. Jesus would be. You're not crying about that hypocrisy. Do they teach that "It's okay to bully Christians?"

The largest sect of American Judaism, Reform Judaism, accepts gay marriage.

Cry me a river. When Christian students have to worry about groups of gay students beating the crap out of them for being abominations, you can start talking about hypicrisy. At the end of the day, if the AFA insists on pretending that anti-bully = pro gay, they're assholes and they deserve to be treated as such.

Nonsense. Most sacred writings of the vast majority of world religions have virtually nothing to say about it. If you're talking about religious leaders of the Abrahamic religions, then you may have a point.

Well no. This event is about not beating someone up for being gay. How the hell could they possibly find a problem with that?
