Marginally. I'm certainly not ready to party yet though.

We are going into what is expected to be the worst earnings reports in quite awhile so whatever gains have been made on the jobs front might get completely blown out of the water by the declines in revenue.

Unexpected? By whom? I said three months ago that right before the election we'd see government statistics showing employment shooting up and the economy booming. Bingo. One of my rare predictions to come true but it really was a inevitable.

Generally, that's how the world works. I can say I bench pressed 400lbs an hour ago but, if there isn't a video, there's no record. It's called backing up your statements.

Obviously, the aforementioned jobless rate did drop. Not so obvious is your claimed prediction of said drop.

Is there some sort of new public form or certificate similar to a birth certificate of SS card that I don't know about? If so, please provide a link to where I can register for it. Or, if that retort was too sarcastic or was over your head, I can stoop to your level of humor. Ask your mom if I've hit puberty. Did you understand that one?

Many of those that dropped off the unemployed roles include those that opened up their own businesses (me, for example) or took on work as consultants. They are neither employed nor actively seeking employment, but are increasingly a larger part of our labor force.

Yes, but MOST of them have given up or have accepted part-time work. I would correct your above statement and say that "few" have dropped off the unemployment roles to open up their own business. Probably VERY few.

Let's face it, the economy still SUCKS!

If you said you bench pressed 400 pounds I'd first consider the possibility. I've known some guys that if they said they'd done that I'd tend to take them at their word. Others, no. With a total stranger over the internet, how would I know. Now, if someone said over the internet they bench pressed 1,000 pounds I probably wouldn't believe it.

It isn't obvious the jobless rate dropped. It's obvious it was reported. Amazingly, you're quite willing to accept a 400 pound bench press from the Obama Administration.

I think predicting a statistical improvement in the miserable economy announced by the administration just before the election takes as my effort as anticipating all of the unanticipated disasters associated with liberal programs.

And, Marine, there is help for necrophilia. Did you document the onset of puberty? I wouldn't really think that is necessary but you do. I would accept your passage through puberty as being as predictable as the White House announcing an unexpected improvement in the unemployment problem.
