So no response to the Syrian army killing Turks? Syria can continue to shell away?

Re: Turkey fires artillery at Syria

According to an NYT article (http://www.nytimes.com/2012/10/04/wo...&smid=tw-share)

"It was unknown whether the mortar shells were fired by Syrian government forces or rebels fighting to topple the government of President Bashar al-Assad. The Turkish response seemed to assume that the Syrian government was responsible."

Thus, it doesn't seem that Turkey even knows who fired the mortars.

I don't care what happens so long as we stay out of it.

Syria has been dogging the Turkish border for weeks and have been told to stay away.

Turkey is in the right .. and Turkey is sheltering over 70,000 Syrian refugees.

Turkey is NATO and so are we..

Hopefully we will stay out of it. The current strategy lies with the Arab League and the GCC to get Assad to step down AND save face.. I think that's "iffy"..

Or indeed if it was deliberate. Either way its illustrative of the fact that the war will arrive on their doorstep either regardless of how they respond, the only way forward is to deal with the problem as soon as possible.

You have no problem ignoring genocides and the intentional starvation of children. So it's not like anything outside the US could be our problem, to you.
