I am so sick of well its the Repubs fault. No wait its the Dems fault. IMO, both parties are so partisan that they have forgotten they are their to serve the American people. There is blame on both sides. People need to start contacing their reps and let them know that if the "falling off the cliff" happens, no one will be safe at any election. Congress and the Senate are broken and its members should be ashamed of themselves.

Hang on to your wallets, folks.
What "Democrats in Congress"? Are there still a few?

BTW, the tax abatement on payroll taxes is also about to run out.

    *Sighs*

99% of people affected are going to be totally surprised. What could be a more reprehensible taxing regime than this "gotcha!" crap?

    Really.

It's annoying that so few give a damn about the real-life misery this will cause.

    Fine by me.

it falls on all the rich people as far as I am concerned. (all over $40k are rich)

Time for the rich to pay up and to not only balance the budget, but to pay DOWN USA debt.

Well...there's one in particular...Reid...but there are a bunch of others who are just as bad.

Yep...we don't have any need to stop spending more than a trillion dollars a year that we don't have. Let's just raise taxes on those earning more than $40K (you know...the rich)
