Voters say they’re worse off after four years of Obama, so why is Romney struggling?

I think most Americans support Obama not because their shoes are hurting them but rather because they feel if the GOP was still at the helm, they would have no feet.

PS.... most folks I know are much better off now than they were 4 years ago. So I guess it's a mute point.

The stock market is at a 5 year high, the nations economy is growing instead of shrinking like much of the free world and the conusmer confidence numbers are the highest since Feb.

I was commenting on the polling dynamic not the political implications of them. Pollsters sometimes prefer to ask questions that would strongly imply an opinion about something other than that thing asked as an indirect measure of the real thing they are wondering about. This is what the better off question is I think. Polls can reveal inconsistencies in people's positions so they try to hide what they are truly looking to measure for at times.

Probably because not all Americans are children that automatically assume that anything is better than the current administration. Everyone in the country could think Obama is a 3, but if 55% of the country thinks Romney is a 2, guess what?

Well you know you are screwed with BHO whereas Romney has a record of success in turning things around.

Why would rational people prefer to continue with a known loser?

Probably because they think the other person is even worse.

Did you really need that explained?

Nothing is worse than disingenuous arguments.

Well they may 'think' he is worse but shouldn't they at least look at the evidence before casting their ballots?

Well then, congrats, the propaganda campaign is working...Hope it's worth it in the end because we will sure all know who to blame....

So everyone in the country is like your liberal, Obama supporter friends? Sorry dude, that is laughable.
