Its not a change in policy.

If I decide to stop doing something I shouldn't have been doing in the first place because it was against my Foundation's policy it isn't a CHANGE in policy.

WinShape already had a policy in which they stated that would not donate money to organizations that have political agenda's. All they are doing is staying true to that policy rather than violating it.

In order to do that... I believe they are going to start taking a very serious look into every group they deal with to make sure that said group can in no way shape or form be connected with any political hot-topic of the day.

Which is going to be abso-****ing-lutely impossible.
"I condemn the ideology of White Supremacy and Nazism. They are thugs, criminals, and repugnant, and are against what I believe to be "The American Way" "
Thus my obligatory condemnation of White supremacy will now be in every post, lest I be accused of supporting it because I didn't mention it specifically every time I post.

    I don't really care.

I'm sorry. I want to care. But I just don't.

In this case, the conservatives were right. The pro gay protesters made asses of themselves jumping on the opportunity to slam the whole company for the words of one executive and a few million dollars contributed to Christian organizations.

So what? Don't eat at their restaurants if it offends you so much. All the noise and media attention it generated just polarized people all the more and made a lot of good people very uncomfortable on both sides for absolutely no good reason.

And what was accomplished? A company won't publicly support anti gay groups, but the individuals who are within it can still donate individually and they can do so in unlimited amounts to PACs set up by anti gay groups.

Now we can all pretend that they are much more tolerant as a result of this being made into a big deal and declare this a major victory! Bullcrap.

If nothing else it showed that in the long run profits meant more to them than standing up for their family values. Just another lesson in what god the holier-than-thou crowd usually worships.

I see. So organized protests aren't free speech. They are free speech oppression. Great logic.

It's always interesting to see people bitch about free speech by saying or implying that it's true free speech only if they agree with what is being said.

Well, i guess black slaves were lucky to be slaves and not killed outright. I understand people should be greatful when you spit on them, but really you are just a bigot. Oh, and BTW he was just expressing an opinion about your bigotry, please have the same respect for other's opinions you want them to have for yours.

Chick probably had a good estimation of the US population of Gays and Lesbians, but they forgot to include the sympathizers. They'd be the last to admit it, but they're getting their asses handed to them.

yeah. so tell me again about all this money they lost?

Obviously that one day was offset by a steep decline in business that led to this decision.
because that, as far as I am aware, did not happen. Though it'd be fine if you could demonstrate it

Yeah, mostly I don't care either, I don't see why people are getting all worked up here. I mean, let's be honest, Chick-fil-A isn't that good to start with. It's standard fast food, it won't kill you but it's not that tasty.
You know the time is right to take control, we gotta take offense against the status quo
