Alleged "Innocence of Muslims Flim Director Taken in for Questioning.....

So do you think it is ok for someone on parole to violate their conditions of parole and not be punished?

No, I don't.

But, given Obama's chosen line of trying to portray this whole 9/11/12 event as being caused by this video makes it obvious that the guy violating his parole isn't the reason he was taken in for questioning. The reason is Obama needs a scapegoat and this guy gets tagged for it.

Look. That video has been out for months. If they wanted to deal with his alleged parole violation they could have done it a long time ago. They didn't.

Ever heard of events bringing something to light? No, it wasn't known WHO was the one behind the video until more digging was done.

Seems YOU are the one making excuses for this guy.

Our newest useful idiot group has been offended,
we must temporarily defer to the judgement and authority of the police state.

Await instructions before assuming traditional position.

Sincerely,

The Progressive Left

LOL!!!

I haven't made any excuses for the guy. I've only been pointing out the glaring situation of Obama using the guy as a scapegoat.

Yeah it has NOTHING to do with the guy violating his parole. The whacko righties will dream up whatever conspiracy as long as it is one that has Obama in it.

Face it, the guy violated his parole by making the film. Once digging was done to find this out, it was found out he violated his parole. End of story, no conspiracy. Some on the right really need to get a life and move out from their mommy's basement.

I watched a part of the preview, The guy is guilty of crimes against Cinematography,
but that is not a chargeable offense.
He may of may not have put this on the internet, some assistant could have.

Would it be a sin in Islam, for any Muslim to watch this video, as it shows a image of the Prophet?
So if they are offended, shouldn't they be offended by their own sin?

...as they cry for Bradley Manning and Julian Assange.

Freedom of speech and religion is fine for everyone except Christians and Republicans, so say liberals.

So 100+ of these films are made, and we're going to pick on this guy?

It looks like a pretty bad movie from the the few minutes I watched, so ya.

Just kidding. This is out of control on a movie.

He was on probation for financial crimes, identity theft and meth production. He's going back to jail.. like any other felon who violates the terms of his parole.

Well...when you were warned in May...a scant 4 months ago... by OBL's angry army shouting "Obama, Obama...We Are All Osama!" and "We are Coming! We are Coming! We are Coming! We are Coming!"....

and you fecklessly forget? refuse? avoid, as to not "offend"? to take basic precautions to harden diplomatic assets against attack in a recently overthrown country in the ever unstable Middle East...on 9/11...not too long after killing radical Islam's spiritual and military leader....and boastfully dragging his corpes up and down the aisles or your internationally televised political convention floor just days before...

political expedience....your political SURVIVAL....needs a scapegoat...a strawman...and apparently, this specific, obscure, months old video fills that bill

Anyone who has ever been on parole knows you don't have the same freedoms every one else does. Rule #1: Stay under the radar while on parole they can and will arrest you for whatever they like. He made this bed deal with it.

So I still have a right to say the film is trash and shame on that SOB for insulting Muslims, making Americans look like dolts and putting us at risk?

This idiot Egyptian doesn't speak for me.

Hate to tell you, but you should research the laws in the country before trying to make a statement on them.

Hate speech IS free speech

You're right it is.

It is so amazing to me how the right is so concerned about this man's rights and American freedoms. Let me refresh your memory about disregard for American rights. USA PATRIOT ACT. Maybe you should check out Titles 2 and 10 of that little gem and think about your lack of criticism regarding it before criticizing this administration handling of this bigotry.

I'm pretty sure this administration RENEWED that PoS UnPatriot Act. It's very hard for you status quo folk to point fingers since so much of what the other side does, your side also does.

Thank you. They absolutely did renew. The fact is I didn't see near as much concern about freedom regarding that. So why now?? Why this guy?? No one is concerned about freedom or rights. They just want to criticize EVERYTHING this President does, he can do no right.

Looks like they will find something to arrest him for. Thoughts? Think this will now affect Freedom of Speech Laws?

I don't think it will affect the laws but rather the application of them. This is a thinly veiled breach of Posse Comitatus, and regardless of whether or not it will later be justified, the fact that he was picked up under federal orders because of the film (which he was within his rights to make) will dissuade others from exercising their rights.

I say that anyone who is more concerned about the film and the person who distributed it than the violence and the people who are engaging in the violence because of the the film have things backwards.

Just after midnight, authorities descended on the Cerritos home of the man believed to be the filmmaker behind the anti-Muslim movie that has sparked protests and rioting in the Arab world.
Authorities waited until most media had left for the day.

On Friday, U.S. courts spokeswoman Karen Redmond said the Office of Probation in the Central District of California is reviewing whether Nakoula, who was convicted on bank fraud charges, violated terms of his probation in relation to the video and its uploading onto the web.

He had been ordered not to own or use devices with access to the Web without approval from his probation officer -– and any approved computers were to be used for work only. "Defendant shall not access a computer for any other purpose," the terms read.
Restrictions were also placed on him enlisting others to get on the Internet for him.....snip~

This guy knew what he was doing for sure. It won't effect freedom of speech; it's going to effect Youtube.

It's funny when you speak about bigotry while sitting here and boldly and blindly stereotyping what I think, what I support, and why I think and support things all based on me making a singular statement of fact.

While he had a right to make the film, he did not have the right to publish the film pursuant to the terms of his probation. There are no Free Speech violation arguments as far as I can see.

Is there any evidence he was the one who published the film to the internet? He may very well have had someone technical do that for him.

Again, it is rather interesting you aim such hatred for the seeming hypocrisy of the right on this. Perhaps, rather than just stereotyping you and making prejudiced assumptions as you seem to be keen on doing, I'll simply be up front and ask. Did you have similar indigntation about any Democrats who lambasted Bush and the Republicans for 5+ years over PATROIT who have largely stayed silent as the Obama administration reup'ed it? Or, how about those on the left who are currently all in favor of infringing upon individuals rights for a little temporary security but had an issue with the Patriot Act? Do you have equally frothing retorts towards those as well? Or is your ire simply aimed at one side and thus, in and of itself, just as hollow and hypocritical as the stereotypical figment of a Republican you seem to be railing at in your past few posts?
