Anit-American violence sweeps across 23 world nations

More than what he'd fear of your leadership which, according to your response in the other thread where I asked what you would've done and you said you would've taken absolutely no action and would've just told Morsi, "we have a first amendment and I'm not going to do anything." Yep, you'd have him quaking in his boots alright.

I'm moderately flattered that you follow my threads so closely but had you paid a little more attention you would have noticed A) that security concerns should have been in place before this happened, especially when word was out that there would be trouble and B) that foreign aid to any of these rioting countries be withdrawn immediately.

PR, you presented the White House talking points. I suggested a far more likely alternative. The one term Marxist is a bully, no doubt. But I bet he first begged and then bribed Morsi. "Please Morsi, don't ruin my chances to fly around on Air Force One while Moochelle rides around on Air Force three. Tell you what, after I have been elected I will have more flexibility. I will give your nation five times as much foreign aid as you get now. Just please tell everyone I was tough. Please?"

Saying, "But I bet..." then going on a rant about how you hate Obama is not offering an alternative. That is baseless speculation supported only by your Obama Derangement Syndrome.

Right... Now you are saying that you'd do pretty much do nothing but pull aid after the fact which of course would stop all the crazies out there. Too funny.

WOW! You're twisting more than Chubby Checker!

Here's the quote.

"I would have said that the American people are free to express themselves through the rights guaranteed under the First Amendment Nothing more need be added, especially another whining apology about US insensitivity".

That's what I would have said, and the "nothing more need be added" referred to the whinging apology regarding a trailer for a movie.

What I would have done, as stated in another post, was cut to off all aid to these rioting countries.

LOL. Well, you ARE an Obama suck up.
I believe the truth will always be different from that which the one term Marxist, flexible with our enemies, president Barrack Hussein Obama, and you proclaim.

I don't think I've ever had someone respond to one of my posts with such an absolute, but completely accidental, affirmation of my post quite like this before.

Exactly. Thanks for reiterating that you would've done nothing aside from telling the middle east that we have a 1st amendment... and then retroactively cutting funding after the fact which would've not deterred or done a thing.

Tell me, which part did you like the most? Was it the part where I nailed you for being a suck up? That was my favorite part.

not surprising you'd pick that.

KABUL, Afghanistan – Hundreds of Afghans burned cars and threw rocks at a U.S. military base as a demonstration against an anti-Islam film that ridicules the Prophet Muhammad turned violent in the Afghan capital early Monday.

And in Jakarta, Indonesians angered over the film clashed with police outside the U.S. Embassy, hurling rocks and Molotov cocktails and burning tires outside the mission. At least one police officer was seen bleeding from the head and being carried to safety by fellow officers.

The low-budget film, privately produced in the United States, portrays Muhammad as a fraud, a womanizer and a child molester. It sparked violent protests in many Muslim countries in recent days, many of them outside U.S. diplomatic posts around the world.

"People around the world are angry," he added. "It is the responsibility of all Muslims to show reaction whenever they hear any disregard and disrespect."

In neighboring Pakistan, around 3,000 students and teachers rallied Monday against the film in the town of Chaman in southwestern Baluchistan province. The crowd burned an American flag and an effigy of Obama, said officer Mohammad Shahid

Teacher Abdul Malik said it was an obligation of all Muslims to protest the video, while Abdul Waris, a 12-year-old student who attended the rally, said his teachers told him the U.S. and Israel produced the film. The teachers canceled classes and told the students to go protest

The Afghan government has blocked video-sharing web site YouTube to prevent Afghans from viewing a clip of the anti-Muslim film. Officials have said it will remain blocked until the video is taken down. Other Google services, including Gmail, were also blocked in Afghanistan during much of the weekend and the block continued on some providers Monday.

The wave of international violence began Tuesday when mainly Islamist protesters climbed the U.S. Embassy walls in the Egyptian capital of Cairo and tore down the American flag from a pole in the courtyard.

Note they are also protesting other US Bases even as we speak. So, their Clerics and teachers just tell them it is Americans and the Israelis. That is all that needs to be said.....then go. Go to the Protest and speak out. This is what they do.

The Obama Administration has doubled down on the Video being the Cause and still deny that any policy or Security issues have nothing to do with all these Uprisings.

Anyone remember Obama's Speech in Egypt and what he told Muslims then? So What's Changed if they were so eager and happy in liking him?

Like many leftists you have the inability to read posts with any comprehension. You've become a pest.

There was a sonic boom when these remarks broke through the previously impenetrable Stupid Barrier.

Now anything goes.

The USA is less religiously diverse than Egypt is. In fact the USA is as fundamentalist in Christianity as Saudia Aranoe is in the Islamic faith. Would you call the USA a Christian nation when about 85% of its population calls itself Christian? Or are you more comfortable with Egypt calling itself a Muslim nation when about 60% of its population is muslim.

It is said that one cannot see the defects on ones own face, only the ones on those he hates the most

Have you sourced your daily serving of information from the University of Hollywood and the corporately run mass media in the USA?

Incredible how unaware some citizens of the USA are of global geography let alone geo political issues

How will even pretend to contribute to this thread if you do not understand what your government is doing in your name all over the planet?

Egypt, the Arab Republic of Egypt. The great majority of its over 82.2 million people[4] live near the banks of the Nile River, in an area of about 40,000 square kilometers (15,000 sq mi), where the only arable land is found. The large areas of the Sahara Desert are sparsely inhabited. About half of Egypt's residents live in urban areas, with most spread across the densely populated centres of greater Cairo, Alexandria and other major cities in the Nile Delta.

The vast majority of Egypt's inhabitants live in the Nile valley and delta, and the rest of the country (about 96% of Egypt's total land area) is sparsely populated. Most modern Egyptians are of a complex ethnic mixture, being descended from the ancient Egyptians, Berbers, sub-Saharan Africans, Arabs, Greeks, and Turks. Arabic is the official language; many educated Egyptians also speak English and French. About 90% of the people are Sunni Muslims, and most of the rest are Coptic Christians

Remember, Obama went to Egypt to speak to a select few students at an Egyptian University

He also visited Egypt to vist his dear friend Mubarak - you know the dictactor that has been pocketing billions of dollars in so called US foreign aid so that he can oppress his own people and prevent democratic progress in Egypt

Funny how the USA supported Mubarak right up to the day he had to step down - then the US came out with a statement saying he had to step down - lol

No such statement for that great Saudi dictatorship or the tyranny in Bahrain

No, Obama went to Egypt once anything else has been over the Phone.....or one of his Administration.

As for your Comment on the Saud and Bahrain.....I have no qualms about it. Nothing was said when the Saud just drove over the border and back then shot down unarmed protestors.
Course if you look at some o those pics. The Protestors are Armed. That being one of the differences this time.

I see

So what do you think the USA has done over the past 6 decades that has led to so much hatred and US flag burning? Any ideas on that front?

(incidentally, I notice that the Bolivians are infuriated with the USA as well - apparently their ex leader is wanted for instructing his military to slaughter 64 protestors and the US is providing him with a haven in the USA. The US government refuses to extradite their favourite Sth American criminal dictactor - my my the web widens - I am not sure how long you can keep this up)

During the period of the cold war, we made deals and pacts with many Dictators and less desirable types in order to gain support for countering Soviet Expansionist policies and the spread of "communism". I believe we should not of made some of those deals. We also have been attempting to broker deals and actions to bring peace to the Middle East, particularly in the area of getting Muslim countries to recognize Israels right to exist.

However, we were limited with working with governments that already existed. Unless you think we should be funding and stirring up rebellion in all these places, we deal with who is there. Mubarak was a dictator and probably an unmitigated ass, but he was also the one we had to deal with. We did get him to recognize Israel and to make at least some peace efforts with them. Same as we have done with Jordan and Turkey. Syria, Iraq and others, we had less influence with and were unable to get concessions on Israel from them. But get concessions, from some, we did and you do not get them for free.

Unless you are a complete isolationist, we will have to deal with other countries in the world. That means dealing with the governments that exist there or we replace them. Replacing them is an expensive and frankly unaccomplishable task. However, we have been able to get some concessions through economic pressures from some governments. China, due to economic pressure from us, created and allowed "capitalist zones" in their country. The even kept Hong Kong as one when it reverted back to their control in '97. Also, it appears that while China retains socialist control of old businesses, they are no longer using socialism for new businesses. Saudi Arabia has started having local elections in some areas, a result of US influence and pressure. The US also sponsored and supported the change in Pakistan from a Dictatorship to a Democracy. I approve of this method of bringing about change. It will not bring it about overnight, but it will bring it about without the need for military actions or violent rebellions. We have examples of both G. H. Bush and G. W. Bush using these methods, but for some reason, we have not seen them with Clinton or Obama.

Obama has not only not used economic influence to broker changes from other nations, he has declared the socialist/communist revolution in China as something to be celebrated. From this action, he appears to believe that oppression and denial of human rights in order to bring about Marxist changes in a country is not only acceptable, but desirable.

Some of these countries will not change through pressure but will require military actions and rebellion. So yes, we should just ignore those idiots and blow their assess away when given the opportunity and just reason to do so. This current situation is brought about because of intolerance on the part of the zealots and the refusal of the current regime in the US to take a strong stance.

If we aren't careful, we're going to end up in a war right here on American ground. There are just too many nutjobs that would love to jump in and make that happen. There are many countries out there that would love nothing better than to bomb it, giving America a taste of what it's like to live in a war infested zone. The hate spilling over is going to do no one any good. Least of all America.

Sounds like you are another one that believes we are moving towards a high potential for internal revolution. Watch it, if you are, the others think we are nutjobs.
