Face it, you and your GOP handlers are in total damage control mode and trying to find any and all methods to take focus away from Romney's anti-American ranting. This article does not state anything we did not know before... American embassies and consulates are targets, and more so on 9/11... big shocker!
    Obviously...not!

Maybe they were, but they didn't get permission to fire in self defense as possibly required by their ROE. I bring that up because apparently there was some security there but we have absolutely no reports of any attackers wounded. Even if it was only 2 Marines with M-9s, why didn't they fire as they retreated? Putting M-60s on the roof is only useful if you let the guy behind the rifle pull the trigger. If the Marines and other security forces actually had permission to fire and ammo, then why don't we see reports of the dead and wounded attackers? And if they didn't have/get permission to fire in self defense, then they were just more targets and completely useless for security.

And in Cairo, we now have reports that the Marines there weren't even allowed Ammo, much less given permission to fire. An M-16/M-4 is a rather clumsy and fairly useless club, an M-9 even more so and an M-60 is way to unwieldy to be a good club. If there is no ammo in the rifle, what use is it? Unless they inserted empty clips, it is not hard to notice that any of the standard weapons issued were empty.

Re: Exclusive: America 'was warned of embassy attack but did nothing'

Ya know, I'm getting sick and tired of the trend from certain posters here about what is actually happening (As I type this) on the ground in the ME. Look, Romney has it right, Obama has it wrong. We are an exceptional nation, no nation on Earth has the degree of freedom we enjoy here. We should NEVER apologize for this, and to do so is to out yourself as anti-American by definition. Whether it's some film, or the fact that men here can wear boxers, or that women hear can wear makeup.. We should value these things, and damit, we should always protect these values where ever they are threatend and we have a diplomatic interest; otherwise, we get out, and I mean all the way out. No nothing from the Good Ole USA. No funds, no nothing, no embassys, nothing.

If governments where we have soverign land is threatend is unable or unwilling to defend our territory then we mustn defend it as if it were happening here in the US. God Damn man, doesn't anyone see why our lack of a severe response has caused this to continue. We (And by we I mean Obama) has emboldend our enemies by not taking swift forceable action to deter any further attacks. If the governments don't like our response, then **** off.. Eat ****, we are Americans and we protect our own and our values, and your little despotic nation can go fly a kite if you don't like it.

What the hell is Obama afraid of? What, pissing off the Muzzies? Well, that strategy has gone well for him hasn't it.

Look, Americans travelling abroad take risks, especially in the ME, so if you go there then you can't hide behind ignorance. There most certainly is a level of real risk in so doing. Doesn't mean we as a nation cannot respond, but even if you're dead because your head was cut off, you'll know that as the blade is slicing through your neck that these bitches are going to eat some for doing so.

THAT'S the way to handle bullies and thugs. We don't hand them money and good will. We kill them by ten-fold if any of our citizens are attacked, period!

So Michelle Bachmann and a couple of Republicans are responsible for the murders and riots? That should let the Florida pastor and the film maker off the hook.

We know it has to be the fault of some American when Muslims go crazy but I would have considered Michelle Bachmann to have been a long shot as the cause of their madness.

Under the present administration Americans talk softly and carry an empty stick.

Many knew it and now the American public knows it as well.

Now White House Spokesman Jay Carney tries to justify Islamic behaviour.

It's always seems to be the fault of an American, and the present leadership can certainly be counted on to support that smarmy idea. .

The headline itself is misleading. Let's see what becomes of this.
Well couple this will the current story that the POTUS is skipping his daily intel briefs, and it's a little damaging to the POTUS.

I shake my head at what a wuss this country has become. We don't have the stomach anymore to do what has to be done. Ends do justify means, well if you want to win, that is.

Everything sounds racist these days, but in fact the first person to mention race in his political campaigns was Barrack Obama.

Both he and Joe Biden assume a homeboy southern drawl whenever they address a Black audience. That's paternalistic as well as racist.
