Re: Top US military officer calls pastor over film

So now that it turns out that the Libya attack was a pre-planned event, that our 'intelligence' people missed out on what they should have picked up... How many who claimed it was about the dumb video are going to backpedal? Or will they just stick to their guns?

Yet again, the left wingers have jumped too fast, and look foolish now.

Wonder if that General is going to make a follow up call and say 'um, actually, it was us who didn't follow the intel that was there, and didn't even consider a planned attack on 9/11'..

So far as I know, the film has only been screened once in it's entirety at a seedy theater in Hollywood where they couldn't convince more than 10 people to sit through it. Without a doubt, most of the people who rioted never saw it, any part of it, they were just told about it and went ape-crap as ignorant Muslims always do.
There is nothing demonstrably true that religion can provide the world that cannot be achieved more rationally through entirely secular means.

Beats me. I'm not a leftist.

What was it in my analogy that wasn't clear?

Was that the method they taught you in grade school so you would be more likely to understand?
I didn't study set theory until college. How about you?

This is not about the KKK or White people. The facts don't need analogies.
Clue me up with facts then. And thanks in advance.

What are the moderate Muslims doing to squelch the Islamofacists? Nothing.

What response did we get from the Egyptian government? They want their consulate in the states to take leagal action against Bacile.
Really, apdst, if you insist on continuing to do this to yourself you might want to think about not doing it in public.

According to senior diplomatic sources, the US State Department had credible information 48 hours before mobs charged the consulate in Benghazi, and the embassy in Cairo, that American missions may be targeted, but no warnings were given for diplomats to go on high alert and "lockdown", under which movement is severely restricted.

This is of absolutely no concern to the US military, or even the US government.

The concern of the US military and and the US government is to make it possible for people to have the freedom to do these kinds things, no matter how distasteful they may be.

So, the job of the government, and of the military, is to say, outwardly, to these people who are offended, "yeah? Freedom's a bitch, and we defend her."
Good for Dempsy.. There is no reason to put Westerners in danger or to jam Freedom of Speech down the throats of Muslims ........

You don't get to decide what is the US's concern, thank goodness.

The freedom of speech does not absolve people of the obligation to act responsibly. Just because you are free to do something doesn't mean you should. The government is more than empowered to request that people to act in certain ways if it protects Americans, overseas and at home.

It's understandable that posters on debate boards would make claims that this is all about a movie but when the US Secretary of State repeats this juvenile silliness then we know that the inmates have taken over the asylum.

These riots were well choreographed and its obvious what the motives were. It is shameful.
