I agree with Krauthammer... "Go to hell" and that message should be delivered at 2900 FPS from the muzzle of a marine M-4A1

Cracking down is appeasement? Tell me what do you think is the best way to go after the individuals who planned and coordinated this incident? I can tell you that the Marines opening up on the protesters isn't going to solve anything, you and I both know the real ring leaders and planners aren't the guys coming over the walls first where the greatest danger lies. And killing a bunch of them is only going to anger more Egyptians which will force their government to be less cooperative with us, and since we can't exactly go hunting for these guys out in the streets of Egypt why don't we work with their government which obviously doesn't want this as much as we don't want it? The locals know the "human terrain" better than we do, and actually have legal jurisdiction to go after these people.

Killing pissed off mob members isn't going to accomplish anything except give them some martyrs and make the mob bigger.

Appeasement is when you give your adversary a concession in agreement for them not doing something, I'm not suggesting we give them anything at all except our full attention and go about getting back at them in an intelligent and productive way.

That is where it stopped. What then shoot everyone? That would have accomplished nothing and wold have incited more violence.

If the Egyptian Police cannot handle the job. Then the Egyptian Military knowing 911 was coming round the corner. Should have been prepared and remained proactive. Ta make sure NO other Foreign Embassies were in any Danger.

The film was used as an excuse. No matter how offensive, that is no reason to act like animals and open themselves up for martyrdom. It appears embassy personnel were prepared for some type of negative activity on 9/11 and were not duped into making an incident out of this situation. This behavior is both primitive and ineffectual on the part of the protesters.

While I doubt Americans would riot, I do think they would be angry if Jesus was portrayed that way in a movie.
Americans have become used to the left disrespecting Christians, their theology, and their God. It's a way of life. I haven't seen any violence except from those practicing the "peaceful" religion.

It is so disturbing to watch these protesters but more than that, it must be so sad for all those who lost loved ones on 9/11 to have people across the world, celebrating -in a way-the tragedy that took place that terrible day.... choosing exactly September 11 to start trouble over a movie ...

But then, those abhorrent actions on their part do not surprise me.... they happen with enough regularity unfortunately.

Why the hell would they be apologizing for American's exercising their free speech and mocking Muhammad? They should be condemning the attacks, period. Those who attacked the embassy were completely in the wrong and those who made the video were at no fault for exercising their right to free speech. It's not our fault that some violent people can't handle it.

That is a weak approach, in that part of the world. The only thing that culture understands is force and strength.

Bowing down and apologizing to the enemy is operating from a position of weakness, not strength. That mentality encourages more violence than anything else. I think you're old enough to remember when our people were taken hostage for over a year.

Beacause some folks believe that appeasement is the way to keep the peace.
