Iran says may retaliate for Canada's "hostile" cut in ties

Rob Furlong--the Candian shooter--was using US ammo. And, were shooting an American made McMillan TAC-50 rifle, too. :rofl

I remember seeing an interview of Furlong and he talked about much hotter American rounds were compared to those he was issued by the RCA. He admitted that he couldn't have made the shot with RCA issue ammunition.

Aaron Perry--a member of Furlong's sniper team--was also investigated by the RCA for this trouble, too.

Yeah and? The Canadian made the Shot.....didn't he!

That's a damn lie. I enver accused anyone of being a coward.

"They better chill. The Canadians might do somethimg drastic, like stage a protest, or write a sternly worded letter to Ahmadimejad. If they really get miffed, they'll beg The United States to jick some ass for them. "

no they have teeth but we can knock them all out very easily.

At what cost though. Iran, knowing they have a US problem are now blowing smoke to our neighbor. Doesn't seem like a rational thing to do, yet that's what they did.

Iran are not a rational country and seem to enjoy winding us up! Its all bluster!

Don't throw dead bodies in my face, bro. That's weak. When you do? I'm going to point out that there have been 20 times more Americans killed in Afghanistan and that paultry little 132 KIA's don't add up to much.

Don't like it? Don't want me to do it? Don't play the numbers game with me and it won't happen. Fair enough?

Canada didn't HAVE to send any of them. Which would make a total of ZERO KIA. But they did. Respect should be shown for their dead also.

adpst-
really? you have to play that crap? The P51 Mustang was a dog until a Merlin engine was stabbed into it, THEN is became a war winner. Much of our carrier innovations come from the Brits. Our military owes much to other nation's designs and advancements.

Given the fact Canada is 35 million to our 300 million, the World Trade Centers were in NYC AND when NATO invoked the mutual defense clause Rummy and friends dismissed them as only going to get in our way. I am amazed anyone was willing to send troops to support the missions in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Only AFTER we bogged down in Iraq did we suddenly embrace our NATO allies

I love a good Canuck bashing, I don't consider yours as good natured ribbing. I had the honor of training with their soldiers, had the honor of shooting competitively with a few of 'em, even spotted for a few black powder boys from Regina when they came down to shoot our 1000 yard range. That was some shooting!

I'd say some don't give the Canadians enough credit, perhaps due to a victim posture where everyone is always attacking poor lil old US, and if every post doesn't have a cow tow to the US some folks get all wack-o.

Mya-
Having read your posts in many threads I am reminded of a Greek myth about a daughter of King Priam. She had the gift of prophesy and the curse of never being believed. I hope that myth gives you comfort as you see Islamic danger at every turn and we mere mortals scoff at so clear a vision... :peace

"The current government of Canada under the leadership of Mr Stephen Harper is known for extreme policies in the domain of foreign policy," Mehr news agency quoted Mehmanparast as saying.

"The hostile behaviour of the current racist government in Canada in reality follows the policies dictated by the Zionists (Israel) and the British."

This sounds like comedy to me.

That's not calling anyone a coward, my man. Relax.

It may not be so bad if Iran "attempts" to retaliate. Canada's Grizzlies could use the extra protein.

It appears friendship is only as strong as the benefit it derives. So as Iran is still pressured economically others are reaping the rewards of be cooperation and respect. However, according to Harper, “Do I anticipate specific actions? No, not necessarily,” Harper said, when discussing possible Iranian reprisals against Canada for having cut diplomatic ties. “But we know this is a country that does not stop at anything. That is just the reality of the situation…Nothing (Iran might do) would surprise me. That is all the more reason why it is essential that our Canadian personnel no longer be present."

"Canada exported nearly $18 billion in products to China in 2011. China exported $48 billion to Canada. China also invested a record $11 billion in Canada last year. In return, Canada invested $4.6 billion in China." It looks like business as usual.

Lashing out at Canada..... Sounds like a tantrum, doesn't it?

Boy am I NOT impressed with these Iranians.

OK...I dont think it will happen and dont want it to happen...but...lets say on a computer generated scale, Id kinda like to see a war between Canada and Iran. It might be the first no-casualty war in history.

Iran has mishandled every relationship that have had this is the price and they can do nothing of consequence about it.

That is an excellent assessment.. Zero skills.

Iran controls the two largest and most orginized terrorist units in the world, so it's not at all unrealistic for Iran to launch a terrorist attack in side Canadian borders.

And, that's exactly the attitude that the Canadian government take towards this threat.
