Me too. Look you can look at bls data and see there were several months in 2007 during the Bush administration were the monthly totals were less than 96K.

    Net change by month

Why is Europe in their mess? Socialism

That should answer your question why we have to change.

We need a growing economy, and Obama is not about growth, he's about borrow and spend and entitlements.
Actually Obama is now head of the fastest growing western nation so he must be doing something right.
Europe is in another recession because of a failed economic policy of budget cuts that short circuited their recovery. Romney is promisng the same thing for us, with the same results.
You want to trade modest growth for the Romney recession. You want to give up 2.5% GDP growth for more negative quarters and higher unemployment.
Thankfully Americans are wise to Republians and how they so regularly fail at encouraging growth or employment. Their record is abysmal by any measure.
They used to get votes because voters thought they would keep them safe. Bush blew that for them.
They have nothing left but their unabashed pandering to the rich and that doesn't impress many people.

The stats are generated by a BLS java applet and it appears it can't be directly linked to. Go to the BLS site and I believe the applet is under "tools"

I got the info originally from CNS and then looked it up at the BLS site myself, because I normally don't trust what others report:

In July, there were 155,013,000 in the U.S. civilian labor force. In August that dropped to 154,645,000—meaning that on net 368,000 people simply dropped out of the labor force last month and did not even look for a job.

There were also 119,000 fewer Americans employed in August than there were in July. In July, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, there were 142,220,000 Americans working. But, in August, there were only 142,101,000 Americans working.

Its disastrous. The incompetence of the affirmative action poster child is becoming more and more evident.

So you might want to reconsider calling the August numbers a "modest gain" and give that "significant loss" title some more thought. It might be a better fit.
It is painfully that the JOB CREATORS are sitting on their fat collective asses.

great spin there but its nonsense.

your faith based argument that there will be a Romney recession in an effort to ignore the REAL Obama disaster is touching

If they needed more jobs they'd be creating them. When we have an incompetent quota in office and a moron running the senate and both of them whine about needing to tax job creators more, what do you expect?

How do explain the 80s and 90s then where the federal economic policy was supply side? GDP doubled in the 80s, and again in the 90s. It even increased by 4 trillion in the 00s.
