Gina Rinehart has criticised her country's economic performance and said Africans willing to work for $2 a day should be an inspiration. Link with Video

$2-AUD a day might be fine in Africa where relative costs are low but I can't see many Australians falling over themselves to work for $2 - especially while Ms Rinehart is rolling in the billions.

Bet her speech went down like a lead balloon - would you work in the US or Europe for the equivalent of $2 AUD a day?

Woh now hold on.

$2 a day is perfectly acceptable if you're willing to live off 1 meal a day off the Mcdonalds Value meal and it's a 24/7 Mcdonalds so you can sleep there and wake up to work there the next day

Gina The Hutt might want to spend a little more time exercising her body parts rather than running her mouth...

I take it you wouldn't be inspired by the African salary of $2 a day then..

I didnt see this thread and I posted this again...the mods will find it and delete it im sure....

This woman gives real meaning to my favorite descrptions of corporatists...as pigs at the trough...she expects australians to bust their arse all day in a mine for 2.00 a day and starve to death in an australian economy so she could be richer ? shes a disgusting human being and deserves nothing less than total ridicule

Proves again that the only bulwark against the rich riding roughshod over people is the law.

That this woman would suggest Australians step back a century in standard of living ought to make even her super-rich friends pause.
