Do you guys think the responses would be a bit different if she said the "F" word instead?

What, she shouldn't get her diploma because she said hell in any sentence ever? I really don't care what she said in her speech... lay off the coffee people...
I'm coming to see that no matter what law we regulate, be it the stand your ground act, there is never an objective morally right answer to any morale question; in fact, since there are multiple objectively right answers to every moral question that leaves us with a lot of grey area and a lot of black area (not in the racial since).

It wouldn't have made an f***ing bit of difference to me.
There is nothing demonstrably true that religion can provide the world that cannot be achieved more rationally through entirely secular means.

    Well that isn't surprising.

In my case, I'd still be appalled by this whole ordeal. For the rest of this forum, sadly, it'll most likely vary.

Probably. Since she would be using Uncle Joe's 'f-bomb' ... they'd think she was a Dim, and then joy would return to Mudville.

No, what's surprising is that you're making a big deal out of a bunch of noises that came out of some girl's mouth. Do you not understand how ridiculous that is?

Not noises. Words, and words that might be offensive to some people. The girl needs to grow up and learn how to conduct herself in public.

One of the dumbest things I have read in a while. They should have burned her at the stake for her transgression or just issued a tacit admonishment with a wink and a nod. She achievements outweigh a mere mistake and the administration was being onerous and punitive in the demand for an apology. I walked out without my diploma as well screw em.

What should have happened a simple shaking of the finger and you are a naughty girl...

Why does everyone think an apology letter is such a bad thing? It is not that big of a deal to say I'm sorry. Hopefully, this will be a learning experience in her journey towards adulthood.
