He should be granted a blindfold, cigarette and a firing squad.

A side point but nobody has "threatened to storm the embassy". The UK government did raise a law which could (maybe) effectively remove the status of the embassy but there has been nothing about "storming" the building. If the building wasn't an embassy, the police could just walk in and arrest him.

Question: Do you think it strange that the UK government would even consider suspending sovereignty for a embassy over sexual assault charges?

Did you know that Assange has been flagged red by the CIA, while Gaddafi while still alive never got past orange?

Maybe he can pass that on to Ecuador once he gets there. apparently freedom of the press is unknown there. Sorry to burst another one of your Far Left bubbles.

Yes, but 'storming the embassy' is the kind of crap that gets those far left juices flowing. These are the same folks who, had they been around, would have cheered the seizing of the U.S. embassy in Teheran and the kidnapping of over a hundred american citizens. It's just how they roll.

You have no knowledge of exactly what he did in Sweden but you choose to believe him because he's virulently anti-american. Par for the course.

My apologies, not the CIA, but Interpol.

Interpol has issued a so-called "red notice" for his arrest on behalf of Swedish authorities for questioning in "connection with a number of sexual offenses" – Qaddafi, accused of war crimes, earned only an "orange notice" – and the U.S. government has branded him a "high-tech terrorist,"

Do you understand what this is about?

Read the rolling stones article I linked in the other post, and understand how the Obama administration is trying to redefine what espionage is, and deliver a KO to freedom of press in this country!

Yes, though less so as a last resort to resolve what has turned in to a major legal, political and practical deadlock. I honestly don't think they've seriously considered taking it that far - the communication seemed like more of an attempt to force the Ecuadorians hand at a time they appeared to be stalling rather than a serious threat. I'm not convinced it was as successful as it could have been though.

On what scale? And how is that relevant to false accusations that the UK government threatened to storm an embassy?
