I'm assuming thats what the link said, it doesn't work.
Then you assume wrong. It was a link to a White House defense after several police organizations had protested Obama having a rapper named Common, who praises cop-killing to the White House for performances of his "poetry". Never did it say that Obama hated cops; though it does point out that he is willing to engage with the subculture that does.

There absolutely is a segment of our populace who believe in "F the po-lice". Frankly, it bothers me now when I watch movies, and always the line of cops / security guys / etc. are just there to get tossed around, beaten up, and killed by the bad guy / hero in a hurry, etc. Those guys are just middle class dudes trying to do their job and protect individual rights and the rule of law. They have wives, families...

I remember that bit of manufactured outrage. This was one of Jon Stewart's finer pieces Tone Def Poetry Jam - The Daily Show with Jon Stewart - 05/11/11 - Video Clip | Comedy Central

In it he shows how the poem the conservatives were loosing their minds about was actually a call for people to put down their guns and walk a more peaceful path. Sure, Common talked about threatening cops, but then he said it wasn't the way to go. What is that? A black guy talking about standing up to cops? Who needs to do any more research?

In the segment that was connected to that Stewart made another good point. He read some Johnny Cash lyrics about shooting women and then showed a picture of him receiving a medal from Bush 43. The message being that if your white, and white people love you, it is fine to talk about things that are truly despicable. But if your black you shouldn't even open your mouth about what popular attitudes towards cops in your community, even if you're trying to dissuade them.
Disclaimer: I am not a democrat, liberal, or Obama supporter and I will not be voting for them. If you want to respond to one of my critiques of the right-wing with 'well Obama did that same thing' you have found yourself in the wrong place. Now lets stop with all the "classic misdirection" and actually debate each other.

I dont know if anyone heard the media conference by the Chief of Police for the area.

The officer involved was a tactical team veteran of some 10+ years and was a tac team leader. He was 51 years old and his first response when aid got there was to tell them to get to the temple he was ok.

Guys got balls of solid steel. Hope he makes it, no city can afford to lose a cop of that quality of character.

A Wisconsin police officer is in critical condition after he was shot nine times at close range during a deadly attack on a Sikh temple, with his fellow officers saying he waved off their attempts to help him so they could attend to other victims. Oak Creek Police Lt. Brian Murphy, a 21-year veteran and a finalist to be police chief two years ago, is being called a hero for his selfless actions during the rampage.
Police say gunman Wade Michael Page, a 40-year-old Army veteran and former leader of a white supremacist heavy metal band, unloaded a 9 mm handgun at the temple Sunday. They have not determined a motive for attack, which killed seven including the gunman and injured three, including Murphy.
Murphy arrived with other officers within minutes on the scene of the shooting at the Sikh Temple of Wisconsin in the Milwaukee suburb of Oak Creek.

The Associated Press reports Murphy saw a victim lying in the parking lot and was tending to him when Page approached. Page shot Murphy at "very close range" nine times, Oak Creek Police Chief John Edwards said.

"He clearly was in a blaze of gunfire," said Dr. Gary Seabrook, director of surgical services at Froedtert Hospital, where Murphy and two other survivors were treated.
