I would if I still lived there. I now live in Texas, and I'm so used to drinking it with cream and sugar, I don't think I can ever drink it black again.

Get a competent ristretto puller on a good machine using an intelligently selected roast, you should prefer that to any other type of coffee you've ever tasted. That's God's nectar. Try that once with an open mind and you'll understand what the coffee bean was meant to do.

Yeah, I'm a native Texan too, and I started out drinking it black. There's a restaurant chain in SA called Las Palapas, (Mexican Restaurant) and their coffee is really good. We asked what it was and they said Douwe Egbert. We tried to get it but it was way too expensive. However, I just saw an ad on the internet and it didn't seem to be that expensive. I may have to try and get some.

I wonder if the attack the other day would count as an "Anti-Chick-Fil" protest?

Haven't kept up with this protest. How'd it work out?

    Probably a failure.

Im sure someone will post a picture of a downtown manhattan Starbucks location at 8:30am packed full of people trying to get their starbucks before opening bell or some such ****.
"I condemn the ideology of White Supremacy and Nazism. They are thugs, criminals, and repugnant, and are against what I believe to be "The American Way" "
Thus my obligatory condemnation of White supremacy will now be in every post, lest I be accused of supporting it because I didn't mention it specifically every time I post.

Starbucks has been the object of a boycott since announcing support for same sex marraige in Washington state this past January. They have taken a hit financially and asked the organizer of "Starbucks Appreciation Day" editor Kirsten Ott Palladino to change the name and include other companies that support same sex marraige. They did not want the spotlight on their policy after watching the overwhelming crowds that showed up to support Chick Fil A's opposite policy. That's why the name was changed to "National Marraige Equality Day". Starbucks was rattled enough to issue a statement that they willl not be financially supporting the proposal on the ballot in November to legalize same sex marraige in Washington state. There is also an effort underway to boycott General Mills for the same reasons.

This sounds like a "hint" to businesses, stay out of politics. What you hear and read in the news may not be the the whole story or represent the folks in the "hinterlands" real thoughts.
