Then show me the quote in the article that exactly states their intentions behind putting up the 13 crosses.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

"It was more or less to make a statement to the Muslims about how we felt about our religion, our Christianity...we wanted them to see the crosses and know how we felt about things.”

It's a message to "the muslims". Not just passersby. A specific group. Letting them know how the church feels about "things'. The "things" being the fact that the proposed mosque has been terrorized and has had unjust lawsuits brought against it in an attempt to halt the construction.

This idiotic, backwater inbred hick town doesn't think freedom of religion is in effect there and they don't want the mosque in their town. The church is just helping illustrate that. To the muslims. Directly.

He's perfectly capable. He's just refusing to do it out of loyalty to the shared religion or his dislike of Muslims or maybe he's from that town, I don't know. Could be any number of reasons.

So in other words you two have nothing more than baseless speculations to support your claims. If you look at the article the church in the article and mosque in the article are not even close together nor are they even across the street or even in the same neighborhood.

You are reading an awful lot into that quote that isn't there. There is no evidence that the church is in any way sanctioning the violence done to the mosque.

What does Obama have to do to with the OP story.

    LOL!

James, you're pathetic. I just gave you the quote from the church member who said 100% directly it was a message TO THE MUSLIMS. But you ignore that and go off on what road is where.

The ****ing guy said it was a message to the Muslims.

This is now officially a waste of my time.

You're reading even more into what I've been saying. I never said the church condones the illegal actions taken against the mosque, did I? I said they clearly agree with the notion that the mosque isn't welcome in the town.
