Slowly getting better isn't good enough, still well over 800k discouraged and not looking for work. That is more than when Obama took office and before throwing over a trillion dollars at shovel ready jobs that Obama admitted didn't exist

It is not improving. When you have to parse like that, give up.

The old adage is that you are either getting better, or getting worse. We are not getting better.

BLS will give you unemployment by age, race, and about anything else you might want. Even the Gallup numbers don't show much improvement at all so when will you hold Obama accountable for all that spending and such poor results?

You really shouldn't comment about things you don't understand, GDP is not a measure of income, so why would it come up in a discussion of GDP?

Again, the two consistent negative components are lowered govt spending (which is what you guys want) and household spending. Of course household spending is down....no frigging duh.

If you really want to get into that, we have and we can....but be forewarned, it is not a winning debate for you.

Sorry, but we have less Americans working as a total percent now than then. You have to use the fudged numbers, to believe what you posted.

Further, from the end of 2010, until now, food stamp usage is up about 10%. Its even worse since August 2010. Can't fudge those with LFPR adjustements.

There is no reason to refute the source. The source is a sample. Do you know how they measured or collected their data? Do you know if it was the same way the collected the data before? Was the same group sampled?

As I said, there is no reason to refute your numbers because they don't actually impact this conversation.

LOL .... because some know-nothing said things were getting better, and pointed to GDP. Fact being, when it is not going up enough to keep up with population growth, we get the accurate picture that things are getting worse per household.

So if I want to see something stupid, I should just look to your posts.

re: Jobless rate rises to 8.3 percent, hiring picks up but still falling short

I will attempt to make it simpler.

The unemployment rate (which i dont believe is an accurate representation of anything since it excludes so many factors) in July 2010 was 9.5%. Today it is 8.3%
    THAT IS AN IMPROVEMENT

GDP in 2010 value was 13,961,800,000,000 2012 is at 15,094,000,000,000
    THAT IS AN IMPROVEMENT

Average household income in 2010 was 51,500 in 2012 it is 52,500
    THAT IS AN IMPROVEMENT

In 2010 65.4% of adults were employed full time, now it is 66.6% of adults.
    THAT IS AN IMPROVEMENT
