Billboard compares Obama to shooter

"As is trying to compare lawful gun owning citizens to him"
Setting up a pin so that you can then knock it over may sound like a fun game at first, but if you play it more than once you kind of look like an idiot. Same goes with fabricating a point so you can counter it. The Billboard was classless and senseless.

Perhaps you didn't read every post in the thread. Nowhere did I say the billboard wasn't as you say. I merely pointed out the double standard of complaining about the billboard, but not complaining when the same sort of comparisons (or very negative comparisons) are made about others.

Using the type of argument in the billboard (and defending it) is like jumping into a cesspool and smearing yourself with feces because, after all, your opponent is doing it.

Yeah, it's in poor taste. It's true, but it's in poor taste.

Another item that is most definitely true, but in poor taste: "I couldn't remeber what Obama reminds of ..... Oh Yes !!! I remember now: it's an Anus. However, an anus is useful, Obama isn't."

It's really repulsive. It not only is a completely classless, tasteless attack on a sitting president, it completely discounts the grief and pain of the Aurora victims by implying their deaths are no big deal in light of Obama's foreign policy. Completely dispicable.

I'm sure those victims of random drone bombings feel your words discount their own "grief and suffering" .

Face it, Obama is a piece of ****. He decides to bomb people so he doesn't have to worry about messing things like trials and courts. He is far worse than the aurora shooter, who at least had the balls to face his victims.

What a coincidence, Ralph Smeed died on July 27, 2012 at the ripe old age of 88. The billboard was put up four days ago by his long time protege' shown in the video.

I'll bet old Smeed never dreamed his stupid billboards would gain this much national attention....but then maybe even Smeed wasn't as disgusting and tasteless as his followers that put up that billboard seem to be. But then again....maybe not.

So you must think of Bush as worse than a piece of...

Nah. Sorry. Bush was a piece of **** too, but he at least tried to capture people, instead of Obama's kill them all and let god sort them out approach.

They used the word "statism".... hmmm.... did a bit of research on these guys....

Ralph Smeed on Statism

Ralph next learned of a libertarian group called “Foundation for Economic Education” (FEE). It was located in Irvington-on the-Hudson, New York . It’s founder and director was Leonard Read, a brilliant writer, speaker and motivator. FEE nurtured and promoted the libertarian ideals that formed the ideological foundation for our nation in 1776. Ralph attended a week long seminar at “FEE” in 1965 and as the saying goes, the rest is history.

After spending considerable time studying the classical libertarians, Ralph set out to change the world. In 1976 he sponsored his own think-tank, “The Center for the Study of Market Alternatives.” This effort included nationally famous guest speakers teacher seminars, high school debates, position papers, newsletters and the establishment of the most comprehensive libertarian library in the northwest. He hosted his own radio and TV talk shows. He wrote a column that ran for 20 years in a combination of newspapers (Lewiston Tribune, Nampa-Caldwell Press Tribune and the Idaho Statesman ). He funded and donated a vast libertarian library to the College of Idaho.

My first reaction was , who were the morons that did this. Apparently it was just one moron who was sort of a disciple of a rather interesting character. After thinking about this a while it is free speech, we may not like it but the guy has a perfect right to put this sign up. The biography on Ralph is an interesting read though if you have the time and inclination.

The right compares Obama to the Colorado shooter. The left compares Tea Partiers to the Colorado shooter. And meanwhile, the message about gun ownership gets lost. So here it is:
