I will say this is extremely in poor taste and those that created it should be ashamed of themselves.

However, with that said, the billboard is perfectly legal.
 
Its a rather sad and foolish comparison. When you do sad and foolish things, it makes you look sad and foolish.
 
I get the point they're trying to make, but it's a bit tacky.

That goes a little further than simply bad taste in my judgement. I don't give a damn what a persons politics happen to be, it's totally inapropriate to depict a sitting president in that manner period. It's not only disrespectful to the office of the president, but it reflect poorly on the country as a whole... Not too mention that it also exploits a tragidy that's still very fresh on everyones minds.
 
Wasn't it Obama and his people that have gone around suggesting Romney is a felon? I see nobody bitching about stuff like that.
 
Demeaning to the Office of the President that deserves at least a certain amount of respect regardless who sits in it. Horribly poor taste in general to try and purposefully link any politician and this killer in peoples minds. Exploits a horrendous situation like the shooting for political ends.

There's just really no good avenue to go down with this. Just classless.

Really? You don't? I saw people bitching continually on this forum and in the media about that.

Secondly, what does one have to do with the other. Do you fall into the "Two wrongs make a right" type of category? Is classlessness towards someone or towards a subject okay or something that shouldn't be chided simply because that individual or group may've acted classlessly at some point?

Is it any less classy than the anti-gun left that tries to label such shooters as 'tea party' and 'right wing' (and they are always proven wrong)? Or that tries to tie such people to law abiding gun owners?

I saw nobody on the left bitch about it. Most often I saw them suggest it was true. It has to do with supporting one horrible lie and then bitching about another one, depending on who they are aimed at.

No, those are classless too. People who, for example, continually try to suggest the Arizona Shooter was a Tea Partier and motivated by such things are also amazingly classless.

As is attempting to excuse classlessness that helps your side/attacks the other side by equiviocating it in a muling "two wrongs make a right" mentality.

One side's classlessness doesn't excuse another sides. And just criticizing classlessness when it suits your purposes, and find every way to excuse it or avoid actively criticizing it in instances beneficial to you is pretty classless as well.
 
I never said any of it was not classless. I merely pointed out the hypocrisy that is often seen when people bitch about such things. That nice double standard that so many have and deny.
 
I do not post often . . . but I read pretty well. Based on my daily observation, I would say it is a good thing taste and class are not requisite to post here. It would be very boring yes indeed.

Its really NOT fair comparisons to say Charles Manson was a race baiting megalomaniac and murderer, Charles Manson has learned how to use the computer and Internet, Arbo posts on the internet, Arbo is just like Charles Manson (nothin personal, just sayin...).
