    in our society, we don't kill people who had no clue what they were doing, due to severe mental illness.

    Nah, execution is way too easy a way to leave this earth. If I can't have euthanasia, they can't have the death penalty. It's a waste of money. By the time these people have exhausted all of their appeals and get their nonrevokable due date? Taxpayers have spent millions. Let these people rot in jail and die alone in prison. That seems like a fitting punishment to me.

    If prison weren't such a nice place (and i am not being sarcastic) where these guys where pampered and can live full lives I would tend to agree. Also I agree with you that the appeals cost a ton of money (if i understood right) which I strongly oppose. I think our appeals process is disgusting. This guy should have his chance at trial (and all others) and sentenced should be carried out within the 48 hours.
