Shocked that our supporters of the president has not gotten in front of this one.

Feinstein: White House Behind National Security Leaks - Yahoo! News

Sounds like there could be traitors in the WH. Not to worry our president will be spending the next few days fundraising.

Is Holder to busy with his contempt of congress problems to bother with leaking secret information that could cost us American lives.

Does anybody know what was leaked? If it's leaked, it's no longer a secret so please let me know WTF. Thank you.

If you are so uninformed as to not know there is no point trying to bring you up to speed.

With an electorate as uninformed as this the saying: " People get the government they deserve" certainly seems to fit.

So let me get this straight.

You're bitching at someone being an uninformed electorate concerning the leaking of info classified under national security - even though the classification of this information under national security is done to keep the electorate uninformed.

Is that right?

Traitors to Americans but not to Obama. It appears the leaks were intentional to make him look strong on national security; free campaign ads.

Think Holder will do his job on this one?

Well I would expect a response like this from you. You also are unaware of the leaks, that Holder has set up not one but two investigations.

Maybe when you saw that the story was not about how great Obama is you changed the channel, or passed by the article in the newspaper.

Although I have been on this site for a while now, it continues to surprise me how little people know. I is a good reminder of why we have a government incapable of working.

Pssst... Its no longer secret.

I asked you a simple, polite question and instead of an answer you try to insult me? Are you deliberately being an asshole or is that the way you were raised?

To be candid I thought you were being coy because it has been such a big issue. Holder had to initiate two investigations into the matter. This is serious stuff, not the normal petty back and forth of political parties. The leak has already caused the doctor who helped us find Bin Laden to go to jail, the leaking that we and the Israelis have been responsible for the cyber attacks in Iran may have emboldened Iran to set up the suicide bombing in Bulgaria killing 5 tourists, etc.

The headline as posted is correct but it's not what Sen. Feinstein said. Her words were "I think" which to me at least says she's not sure that it is White House staffers who leaked the info. Even if it were the case, the leaker could just as easily be a rightie 'mole', an individual kept over from an earlier Administration for their supposed special knowledge.

We simply don't know at this point but never mind -- the Senator's words will be used to attack the President.

OK, misunderstanding. Now, please answer my question. What was the subject matter of the leaks? Military secrets? Diplomatic secrets? Political secrets? What? Thank you.

Seems like they were mainly leaks from our intelligence community. About how we found Bid Laden for example. Also what we are doing to undermine Iran's ability to build a bomb through cyber attacks, there was a bomb plot broken up in Yemen and someone outed the guy who was working for us and Saudi and gave us the tip, leaks about the drone operations in Yemen etc.

The president would have been better served if he found and outed the culprit(s). The stonewalling is what gets presidents in trouble. Trying to not expose whomever until after the election.

That is not how I read that. She said she thinks the white house needs to understand it IS coming from their ranks. Thinks they needs to understand. IT IS coming from their ranks.

If someone is outing our agents, this is treason and I doubt it will be ignored. If someone outed political machinations, hell, I'm on their side. Too many secrets are just benefitting our politicians.

Well my examples point to individuals that were outing and one is in a Pakistani jail sentenced to 22 years because of it. Who knows what will happen to the Saudi outed while helping us in Yemen, I hope nothing.

If it was political secrets only, I would agree with you, I could not care less.

If they catch the guy who outed that Doctor, I will kill him with my bare hands (metaphorically speaking). That is SPYING, there is no political benefit. I'm sure they are hunting this guy down right now and they WILL catch him. If for no other reason than political points.

I find it ironic that when Obama tamps down on leaks and pursues prosecution, he's a Constitution hating press-censoring marxist who wants to hide secrets from the American people. But when he doesn't, he's deliberately leaking information to bolster his campaign image. Not to mention, no one doubts his fopo credentials anymore. His national security approvals are among his highest, and just saying "I got Bin Laden, there hasn't been a terror attack, and Iraq is over" is sufficient enough to win over a majority of Americans on that front.

Leaks happen. They happen in all three branches of government, from every agency or institution. Some are more serious than others. But to start throwing around accusations that the President is deliberately leaking national security secrets for his reelection campaign is a serious and dangerous accusation.

The last point I'd like to make, does anybody honestly think Holder would appoint US Attorneys to investigate if he or anyone in the Obama Administration actually thought it would be a scandal/lead to high profile resignations/prosecutions? No.

In addition to all of that, who has the most to benefit from these informants being kept secret and not being outed? Obama. He has more to benefit from getting actionable intelligence from these people to lead to more Osama-style raids, than "Oh yeah, I sent a computer virus to Iran."

This whole thing is silly, tbh.

And as for the Pakistani, the ISI would have found out who helped us no matter what was leaked or not, and prosecution would have followed regardless.

I think the attempt to link Obama to these leaks and harming national security is inherently more political than the nature of the leaks themselves, which happen routinely anyway.

We screwed the pooch in every possible way with the doctor in Pakistan. The minute he offered up any legitimate information we should have given him asylum. It would have come out eventually, and even if it couldn't be substantiated, Pakistan would have imprisoned him.

I don't see anybody here saying the President leaked the info. They're saying the "White House" is responsible. There are a lot of people working out of the White House that would have had that information.

If it comes out that this did originate out of the white house, it'll be interesting to see what those on the left who've been talking about Romney still being listed as CEO of Bain for the years when he said he wasn't actively involved as being important due to "The buck stops here" will have to say about this.

Who starts a thread and then bitches someone out for requesting more information on their thread? Jesus.

Supporters of the President aren't really relevant here since the President is not the one being accused of anything.

His administration is being accused.
Yes, but Feinstein specifically said that he, as an individual, is not likely involved, so supporters of his entire administration may be relevant, but not supporters of him, as an individual.
