WRONG. That is pure Obama BS, the rich may have received larger AMOUNTS of FIT savings but not larger RATE cuts; you can lie, but not that well: CARPE DIEM: Comparing Income Taxes: Clinton vs. Bush

Clinton lowered the capital gains FIT rate from 28% to 20%, Bush later lowered it from 20% to 15%.

Can you blame us? Red Dawn was so cool. Remember when the RPG went through the opening and didn't down the helicopter? I was like, oh ****!

Non-cynically, the war is always on. And if you ever catch yourself thinking it's not, that just means the players are really good at hiding it.

The morality of abortion is not a religious belief, any more than the morality of slavery, apartheid, rape, larceny, murder or arson is a religious belief. These are norms of the natural law of mankind and can be legislated even in a completely religionless society.

Ooh, that needs attention in the healthcare forum. (Maybe already did the rounds countless times, I just haven't seen it lately!)

Yeah, Canadians don't really understand tipping as it has evolved in America. They don't know that the server is going to get taxed as if they were tipped whether they leave a tip or not.

How do you get 19 from 6.3? You'd think a major news organization would fix such a blaring typo. Afterall, the damage done can be plainly seen. It clearly mislead you. I don't know the validity of the 4% number for the "middle class." Since the article didn't link its source (the media never does), and the first number was way off base, who knows?

Anyways, the whole thing is folly. Of course the wealthy receive a reduction in tax burden from a tax cut; they pay the most. I love how the article tries desperately to make getting a tax cut into a bad thing. Oh no! The middle class tax burden went allll the way up to 19.5%! And the top 20% tax burden plummeted to a meager 63.5%. What kind of sick regressive tax system are we living under?

Sarcasm aside, it has been presented earlier that the majority of the costs from the tax cuts come from the middle class ones, not the wealthy ones, and that has not been refuted. On what basis (since these tax cuts are based on reducing the deficit), do we so adamantly chase the top end bracket cuts?

I think making health "insurance" actual insurance would go a long way in fixing this.

You are confusing, intentionally or unknowingly, effects of the cuts to our progressive tax system with the growing wealth inequality due to 30 years of trickle down economics. Since it is the working class that has felt the brunt of those effects, they do not suffer from your confusion.

not sure what American R+D stands for so you will have to enlighten me! As for defense how exactly is Canada mooching of American defense? Last time I checked the last time Canada was attacked it was in 1812 by America!
