    ......................

Our cutting away at the country's progressive tax rates over the last 30 years as part of the GOP's policy of supply side economics, has contributed to the record wealth inequality in this country. So yes, as poll after poll have shown, the majority of Americans see no benefit to continuing to allow it.
Then why keep the middle rate cuts, especially since they're so expensive?

Two reasons. The record wealth inequality in this country, and the tax cuts to the middle class stimulate the economy more that the tax cuts to the wealthy.

    Also cost 3x as much.

Regardless, none of this answers my question. If no one saw any benefit from the tax cuts, why continue them for the middle class?

Only the wealthy, or their lackies, think our record wealth inequality in this country is crap.

I see, tax cuts for the wealthy for the last 3 decades have not been a cost, but if the middle class gets them, they are costs. Got it!

I just answered that above, "Two reasons. The record wealth inequality in this country, and the tax cuts to the middle class stimulate the economy more that the tax cuts to the wealthy." Don't know about you, but improving the economy is pretty important to most of us.

Okay then. Why does income distribution matter when average incomes are historically high?

Yeah, you might want to try again. I never said they weren't a cost.

So you admit the tax cuts have had a positive impact? Do you disagree with your own article?

Incomes are not historically high when you factor in the joblessness caused by lack of demand for production in this country because most of the wealth is concentrated at the top, out of reach of consumers. Statistics from the 2010 Census show as that almost half the country is living at or near poverty. There is also health care costs in this country which is the highest in the world. It has become the leading cause of bankruptcy among Americans.

Well that's what conservatives have maintained for the last 3 decades. Regardless, according to the CBO, eliminating tax cuts for the middle class and cutting spending would likely throw us into another Recession.

Tax cuts for the middle class increase demand which increases production which improves the economy. The Bush tax cuts for the wealthy did create jobs in this country as they had been billed. So there is no reason for the working class to continue to allow them.

Ridiculous. Everyone has more money, demand should be higher. GDP is also higher, implying higher production.

Huh? the tax cuts haven't been around nearly that long.

Your link says nothing about middle class tax cuts but the tax cuts in general.

The "Bush tax cuts" were for everybody.

One in three Americans — 100 million people — is either poor or perilously close to it.

Weak consumer demand in the United States

How old are you, try reading up on the Reagan tax cuts.

The CBO has stated the tax cuts for the wealthy would have little short term effect for the economy.

The "Bush tax cuts" were for everybody.

They were not equal for everybody, nor were Reagan's.
