Fla. Deputies Shoot and Kill Man After Knocking On Wrong Door. ‎

Seems to me that the OPPOSITE is true. The man executed was in his own home, had not been even suspected of any crime. The ONLY thing that police had as "evidence" was of ANOTHER suspect's vehicle parked LEGALLY near this person's residence. That is NOT grounds for shooting anyone that has a gun. Possession of a firearm in your own home is NOT a crime.

you are 100% correct

good thing he was not shot for being a non-suspect, in his home, by a legally parked vehicle and for having a gun

its also a good thing he was not charged for having a gun.

what am I missing LMAO

Are you purposefully leaving out the part where he threatened the lives of the officers?

You beat me to it.

In my mind, I can't believe it would be safe to identify ones' self as a LEO when attempting to arrest someone for homocide. I think this is LEOs will often try to "engineer" their arrest to, like, when he's walking out to his car. There'd be nothing more dangerous than standing at the door and announcing yourself to a guy who's wanted for murder. And, oh, by the way, I've learned to shoot three times: once at the door and once (or more) at either side. I don't watch crime drama for nothin', baby. ;)
Right.. So cops bang on this guys door before the sun comes up. (Like some crackhead might do.) Cops don't ID themselves. Guy answers the door prepared and dies because cop messup. Someone needs to be fired for this accident. If you cant answer your door armed when someone is slamming on your door at 1-4 am in the morning then when can you?

My bet is the guy never even pointed the gun at police. He had it in his hands and the cop took that as "Oh I'm going to shoot this muppet."

This needs to be taken serious. Because for all the good-guy cops out there there are some who will look for any excuse to "lawfully execute" anyone they can on the job simply for the thrill. (Cops hunting a perp thinking, "Please have a weapon so I can shoot this bastard. PLEEEASE have a weapon so I can shoot this bastard!!.")

It obvious the cops where in the wrong because 1 shot was never even fired by the victim.

who said I was there, im going by the story while a few of you conspiracy theorist are simply making stuff up and pushing your opinions as fact.

If you think it smells funny, im fine with that, say that, say its you OPINION something may seem off

as soon as you say "improper training" there no facts to support that, you are guessing based on nothing
Maybe you are right but no info we have supports it, so I will continue to point it out as a total guess

next in your post is meaningless filler, hyperbole and bias rhetoric to try and sell you unsupported opinion.

who said "being stupid usually is a felony and is punishable by death" thats right nobody LMAO nor is that what happened here

who said "cops dont lie" thats right, again NOBODY, just a meaningless irrelevant point

currently the the facts say the man got himself killed for pointing a gun at police officers for no apparent legitimate reason which was stupid.

If that changes let me know

I doubt the cops, so I am a conspiracy nut? Maybe you are just an apologist for inept cops?
the body in the morgue is evidnce of poor training, and/or inept cops...

I have no problem with "doubt" its you pushing your opinion as facts

just like you did it again, you called the cops inept, currently theres no proof of that at all LMAO

again nice try at rewriting things

and then your broken logic, here watch ill use it against you

the body in the morgue is proof of the guy making a bad and stupid decision and the cops not in the morgue is proof that they were trained well so they didnt end up the ones dead

see how easey that is? lol

but thats besides the point, I stick with the story and dont make stuff up, keep trying though maybe you will post something that is eventual support buy something real :)

no, I have posted enough evidence....
unless you can explain the obvious, being the TIME OF DAY they approached the door....how is that excusable?

The very simple explanation is exactly what I posted before. Cops dont work on a schedule that is convienient to the working world. They dont stop looking for arresting people after 7 pm. When his vehicle was ID'd they acted. It would be severely stupid for them to notice his vehicle there and ignore and just hope it would still be there at 9 am so they wouldnt inconvienience him. They werent serving him with papers they were looking for the suspect in an attempted murder.

Also you have posted 0 evidence of police wrong doing.

The body in the morgue is evidence of good training and execution by good these cops.

Are you serious? An innocent man gunned down by police in his own home is evidence of good training and execution by good cops? That is beyond sick.

don't have to, the body is the evidence...of 2 things, a stupid mistake by the citizen, and a stupid mistake by the cops...
I accept that it is likely just a mistake, but it was an AVOIDABLE mistake....
if this is an example of their training, they need better training...

Okay.. But at they same time they cant just slam on someone's door at 1 in the morning without announcing "POLICE!" and expect people to not show up to their own door with a weapon (no matter how badly a cop doesn't want a suspect to get away. Or you may get situations like this very one). If someone is slamming on their front door at 1am, unannounced, you better believe a smart person would have a weapon in hand. This guy died because he followed his defensive instincts and cops negligence by not announcing themselves as police as they proceeded to bash on this guys door during after midnight hours.

People are saying, "This guys is stupid for pointing a weapon at cops." Well... To him they weren't cops because they didn't announce themselves. To the victim some asshole was just pounding at his door with zero respect and possibly a motive.

you havent posted ANY evidence LMAO

uhm because they were looking for a murder suspect

you have posted ZERO "evidence" that the cops were "inept" LOL

my door has been approached at that time looking for less

why do you think 1:30 is to late to look for a murder LMAO

I could be wrong but I dont think he believes that, he'll have to answer

I said the same thing, but it was to point out how utterly stupid and retarded it is to say the opposite that a dead body is proof that the coops were at fault.

also per the story he isn't innocent really unless you are just referring to the innocent until guilty saying

I think this is very weird..

Why didn't they knock and say POLICE?

the problem is, per the story we only have proof of the stupid mistake by the citizen

there is no proof of one by the cops, its pure speculation and guessing on your part

arent all most mistakes avoidable, thats meaningless

but agree if the guy doesnt come to his door and making the mistake of pointing his gun at anybody on the otherside for no real reason then his death is avoided

cops dont have to announce themselves when knockin on a door LMAO

the guy is stupid for pointin his gun at people he didnt know simply because they knocked on his door. Nobody smart does that.

Why didn't they knock and say POLICE?

police have been to my house many times over my life, do you know how many times they announced themselves before I asked? ZERO

not to mention if they are looking for a murder suspect why announce yourselves, nothing weird about that

retiring from the field now, I know when an effort is futile, we can't teach the uneducable and the willfully ignorant...

He is innocent unless we dont have the right to arms and to defend ourself. If the cops weren't hiding out of view of the peephole or said "POLICE!" then no one would have died. If the guys intention was to point a gun at a cop then the cop would have been shot. Cops tried too hard to "collect" a suspect and put em on their trophy shelf. They knocked on his door unannounced like gangsters and killed him like gangsters.

Seeing as the victim was innocent too bad he didn't just shoot the cops and plea not guilty do to them not announcing themselves (and him being surprised by a hello at gunpoint). If cops are performing self sanctioned stings based on muddy concrete circumstantial evidence then ****s going to go wrong. Like this story. The cops didn't KNOW one way or the other if this motorcycle was associated with the house. These super detectives really ****ed up hard.

Are you serious? An innocent man gunned down by police in his own home is evidence of good training and execution by good cops? That is beyond sick.

How was he innocent? He threatened the lives of police officers. Should they just stand there and wait till they are shot to react? or until he shoots someone else? You point, you die. They reacted apporopriately. He was not innocent.

Okay.. But at they same time they cant just slam on someone's door at 1 in the morning without announcing "POLICE!"

yes. yes they can. cops can knock on any door and do not have to announce themselves unless they are forcibly entering the home. Which they were not.

If someone is slamming on their front door at 1am, unannounced, you better believe a smart person would have a weapon in hand. T

In hand and pointing it are 2 totally different things. Also if you are that worried about who is knocking, you would look outside the window or thru a peep hole to see who it is. It is very likely he knew who was out there but even if not, he had no right to point a gun at anyone who knocks at h is door no matter the time of day or night.

oh look failed insults LMAO

yep this is the path people take when they cant back up their false claims, its obvious you have no logical, rational objective path to take so you result to being uncivil.

Sorry I exposed you for having no evidence but all you had to do is admit you were GUESSING based on nothing but your unsupported opinion. LOL

we will keep waiting for this "evidence" you claim to have posted :laughat:

He woke up to banging and crashing and hollering, the police DID NOT ANNOUNCE themselves. So here's a guy woken up in the middle of the night, hears a commotion, doesn't know what is going on, grabs his gun and goes to investigate. What about that is unreasonable? He opens the door, cops claim they saw a gun and shoot him dead.

Now, who has to prove the point? Only an ignorant statist would say that the State is assumed correct over the individual. In the Republic, the individual is assumed INNOCENT, the State is not. Burden of proof is on the State. The Cops, whom are agents of the State, must then demonstrate the necessity for being there, why they did not announce their presence, the reasons for acting in the manner that they did. The State is restricted, not the Individual. The cops did EVERYTHING wrong, no warrant, no announcement, nothing. Scare the **** out of some dude in the middle of the night, he grabs his gun, and the cops open fire on him. That's what happened.

Every time a cop has knocked on my door they didnt just knock. They slammed on it. Very, very hard. He'll they slam the door so hard you can hear them pound-knocking on neighbors doors. EVERY time they have announced "POLICE! Open up! We hear you in there open up now!" or something to that effect. Every single time.

Now you are telling me its not ok to answer your door armed when someone just pounds on your door at 1 in the morning like a crackhead? They weren't knocking to ask a question because they had their guns drawn. So you know they where slamming that damn door. If they had done their job right it would have went 1 of 2 ways.

They slam on the door with guns and shout POLICE! Dude unwields the gun because he knows its the PoPo and opens up. No one dies.

They slam on the door to ask around, guns holstered. Because they are just investigating. Dude answers with a gun because of the time + awkwardness of the knock. Dude sees its cops. Dude puts the gun down. Surprised cops draw their gun and disarm the man. Explanations ensue.

This is obviously a case of overeager trigger happy cops that want to catch the bad guy so much they possibly sacrifice some innocent good dudes. Which goes against the whole point of being a cop.

please do not lie and make stuff up, who said its not ok to answer your door armed? thats right NOBODY lmao

Ill believe your fantasy story when you provide one single shred of evidence to it

untill then its nothing more than an illogical GUESS, thats the issue

hell you story could be 100% right, though theres no reason o think so but the FACT remains theres nothing to support it.

so until more details come out and something changed, per the story the cops were not at fault LMAO no amount of fantasy will change that.
