They are not crazed. They are the one percent who are willing to advance their religion.

Perhaps in the same way that the successful attack on Pearl Harbor was a tragedy for Japan. On the other hand the murders of our citizens and the destruction of billions of dollars worth of property led directly to a free Iraq.

Sept 11th wasn't sponsored by any government or sovereign state. Iraq is not free... Iraq is still a mess and we've been there a decade. Most of us knew it was going to be expensive and take forever.

The Afghanistan government is under pressure to do something. This situation underscores the need for women's rights in this country. It is not enough to "educate" people there must be societal rules established that will be enforced. Upon handing down the death sentence the "a bearded man is seen reading verses from the Koran condemning adultery, before saying: We cannot forgive her, God tells us to finish her. Juma Khan, her husband, has the right to kill her."

"British Foreign Secretary William Hague said he was "shocked and disgusted", with the government condemning the "deplorable" action and calling upon Afghanistan's rulers to bring the perpetrators to justice. "Such deplorable actions underline the vital need for better protection of the rights of women and girls in Afghanistan," Mr Hague said in a statement. The foreign minister explained that the British government was working with its Afghan counterparts, NGOs and international partners to improve the status of women in Afghanistan.

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton earlier made a powerful plea for the rights of women in the war-ravaged nation after the horrific video emerged. Mrs Clinton, who was addressing a world conference on Afghanistan's future, in Tokyo, said: "The United States believes strongly that no nation can achieve peace, stability and economic growth if half the population is not empowered."

Except that suicide for jihad purposes is not considered suicide, but instead martyrdom.

I stand with Mya, we will have to disagree on this one.
