Gas prices skyrocketed .. then fell back to earth a bit.

When they're already earthbound and then they quickly drop 75 cents, a dollar, or more, that's a plunge.

They should start to rocket back up in about a week, summer vacationing being what it is.
You don't trust Trump? Well, there's only one way to leverage him to do what's economically right for us all: Powerful American Political Alliance. Got courage?! .. and a mere $5.00?

It's market forces at work. Same as when Bush was in office. When gas prices were high, Liberals accused Bush of conspiring with oil companies, then when prices plunged, they said Bush had nothing to do with it. And of course Bush had nothing to do with falling gas prices in 2008. Obama has nothing to do with falling gas prices in 2012. But, depending on whether you are a Democratic partisan hack or a Republican one, you will hear a completely different story from what I posted here. LOL.
I'd sure like to see 3.00/gal. in my neck of the urban woods out west here, as we're still hovering way too close to 4.00/gal.

When the prices get grounded again, and then drop dramatically, to me, that would be a plunge.

As to liberal v. conservative, Obama v. Bush apologists-blamers, I couldn't agree with you more.

It isn't one or the other's fault -- both wings are equally culpable.

    How?

Oh, they have to be; they just have to be -- they're wingers.

Things always get screwed up from the wings.

I wish we had a choice this election that wasn't Bush again. Obama has already shown that his approach to fixing things is to spend 3.4 million per job and otherwise keep plugging on with Bush's policies. Romney hasn't even put forth a plan, but my money is on him offering more of the same. I wonder if we'll get a second option again in my lifetime.

I hate to agree, since I did vote for him, but he hasn't done well. We've had two massive failures in a row now, the way I see it. I hope Romney won't be one.

    He won't.
"The necessaries of life occasion the great expense of the poor. They find it difficult to get food, and the greater part of their little revenue is spent in getting it. The luxuries and vanities of life occasion the principal expense of the rich, and a magnificent house embellishes and sets off to the best advantage all the other luxuries and vanities which they possess. ... It is not very unreasonable that the rich should contribute to the public expense, not only in proportion to their revenue, but something more than in that proportion."

If every President just ran it like Business 101, we'd be in such superb shape.

Obama has failed beyond massively. The black marxist experiment needs to end yesterday.

And liberals need to get back to being Americans first.

Perhaps you could point to a single president who ran the country like a business.

And your credibility wanes further still.

As opposed to being what exactly?

I never said that one did. I did say that such would be most commendable. In this century, Eisenhower and Harding ran it most like a business. And both were enormously successful with the finances of the country.

Since you chose to comment on my credibility. My kids crap bigger than you. And I crap bigger than them. DUH !

When are you going to put America first ?

And with good reason. The federal government and a business operated strictly for profit are not directly comparable.

Unfortunately the size of your children's bowel movements don't redeem or lend credit to the vacuous, mal-informed rhetoric you were spouting a scant few posts previously.

Presumptuous, vague and unfounded per usual.
