"The necessaries of life occasion the great expense of the poor. They find it difficult to get food, and the greater part of their little revenue is spent in getting it. The luxuries and vanities of life occasion the principal expense of the rich, and a magnificent house embellishes and sets off to the best advantage all the other luxuries and vanities which they possess. ... It is not very unreasonable that the rich should contribute to the public expense, not only in proportion to their revenue, but something more than in that proportion."
-- Adam Smith
That is pretty clearly saying she is not a "true hero"."Now I'm running against a woman who, I mean-- my God-- that's all she talks about," Walsh told an audience in Elk Grove, Ill. "Our true heroes, the men and women who served us, it's the last thing in the world they talk about."
So when he's not demogoging his opponent's military service and heroism, what issues does Walsh talk about?
Not paying his child support....
Interesting how after a year and a half he finally paid his child support just a few weeks ago and just in time for the election."Joe personally loaned his campaign $35,000, which, given that he failed to make any child support payments to Laura because he `had no money' is surprising," Laura Walsh's attorneys wrote in the motion. "Joe has paid himself back at least $14,200 for the loans he gave himself."..."
