He had a gun in his hand, and threatened to use it. This makes his crimes quite serious. I agree with you that his sentence is quite excessive, but I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. That's all I'm saying. It is one thing for me to side with the criminal when excessive force is used by the police, but it is quite another to go to bat for a career criminal whose career has been effectively and permanently ended. I won't do that. Are there problems with the system? Hell yes, but there are people who would better represent the injusice we see in the courts than this punk, and I would much rather reserve my anger against wrongful sentencing for someone who deserves this kind of support. Not this low life scum. let him rot. This punk should consider himself lucky that he isn't living during the times of Judge Roy Bean, and if he did, I still wouldn't shed a tear for him.

First, this wasn't ONE crime, but a series of them. Second, 20 years ago the message was all over billboards in virtually every state - use a gun - go to jail. Third, he was tried and convicted in federal court, suggesting that at least one of those gun-packing robberies was at a bank or other federal institution.

And finally, there is a lily white, privileged son and long distance runner who is still serving a life sentence in Texas for getting caught with a teaspoon of pot. So put the racist BS back in your pocket.

I would like to know the name of this white, privileged son so I can search his case. There's obviously more to the eye here than just what you posted because no one serves a life sentence for a teaspoon of pot in today's day and age.

Funny how it is doubted that a white can get such an idiotic sentence and people actually want the details but the moment some other race gets an idiotic sentence then no one cares about the details...its automatic racism is involved.

The guy was not a first offender. He was a repeat offender, which is why he got the sentence he did.

Good riddance.

Dude, I've read through this entire thread and a news article about this guy. I feel I know enough about his case. However, when someone tries pulling an example out of nowhere, I would like more details. Make sense?

So.. the supposed story about the privileged son is not amongst these. These are irrelevant to the matter at hand, but thanks anyways I learned a lot.

Largely due to our entire media/education system which always paints non-whites as ever the victim and whites as ever the victimizer. That's why we have months of coverage of george zimmerman, and they have to fake the coverage, and paint geroge in "white mask" while at the same tie no one knows who the hell daniel adkins is.

"This must be that racially unbiased media I keep hearing around."
