Ever not been hit by a speeder? I bet it happens a whole lot more frequently. Ever been hit by someone not speeding? Ever been hit by an old person? Or a young person? Or someone putting on makeup? Or someone eating a hamburger? Or someone changing the radio station? Or someone lighting a cigarette? Or [add your own excuse]?

Once again, you cannot legislate safety. If you want to be safe, do not leave the house. If you want to be able to make decisions for yourself, stop attempting to make decisions for others. If, on the other hand, you want to be a good little slave and do as your masters say, continue down the path you are on.
