"Monster" Colorado wildfire rages; Obama plans visit

Okay. Still don't see why comparisons are bad when they are relevant.

Please try that in a court of law.

But your honor, what I did was not as bad as the last guy you had in here, so I should get a pass.

Does that make sense to you?

Why is it relevant what Bush did 7 years ago to what Obama is doing now?

I don't see the connection.

... but the point of the thread, apparently, was to rage against how awful President Obama is because he took the time to visit your city and personally pledge federal support for the devastating wildfires....

So what does that have to do with Bush?

I think he SHOULD stay in Washington instead of turning our troubles into a campaign event. We don't need him here. There are rules and procedures for the City to receive Federal assistance. Those rules are being followed and they are working. He adds nothing by coming...except more costs for the City.

King Barack needs a campaign event so you get the hassle of his presense to tout his "unprecedented" concern. LOL

His reponse to Texas was quite different: Bastrop County Complex fire - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Was a flood of that magnitude a common occurance that happens 3 or 4 times a year in that area?

What is special about this fire that would cause Obama to want to visit the area other than one of his advisors telling what he should do?

We do not have the worst fires in state history 3 or 4 times a year.

We are quite used to seasonal fires. These are not seasonal fires, these are the results of extremely dry weather, basically a drought, dry thunderstorms and excessive dry fuel.

He was still butt-hurt from his shellacking less than a year before the Texas fires.

So, as expected, if Obama doesn't visit he's an A-hole and if he does visit he's an A-hole. Seriously, folks, you need to take something for your ODS.

I'm not surprised that you missed the point of this thread...despite my clear statements.

So the topic of the thread is agree with you and hate Obama or shut up and get out of the thread?

You are really a one-trick pony, eh?

Anyway, I don't think anyone...certainly not me...has said that Obama is a A-hole.

Not at all...however, for you to simply rant on and on about how bad I'm treating Obama shows that you have no cogent remarks to make...so yeah, you might as well shut up and get out of the thread.

When you set up an outhouse, don't expect people to come by and leave caviar and truffles.

These are the same clueless libs who won't let us cut down the trees in the first place. If they would have let us cut down the trees, we wouldn't have any forest fires.

Your point misses the point of this thread as well.

But, since you brought it up...and since I'm tired of dealing with the "poor Obama" deflections, I'll comment on YOUR deflection.

Sure, if we cut down our trees in Colorado, it would make it easier to deal with wildfires...but it won't eliminate them. The fires are caused by our perennial low water conditions. These conditions will continue and whatever vegetation grows after you cut down the trees will still burn.

Now, I don't know about you, but I happen to like trees. I like to hike amongst them. I like to see them when I'm at a hidden-away mountain lake casting my lures.

And if he didn't go, you guys would be bitching about how out of touch he is and that he doesn't care that your state is on fire.

well, when he does political things, he get political responses.

Last year ,when Texas was experiencing historic wildfires all over the place... Obama visited Austin..... for a fundraiser.
