Rodney King, whose videotaped beating by police in 1991 sparked the L.A. riots, was found dead at his California home on Sunday. He was 47.

Rodney King, of course, will be remembered as the poster boy for police beatings, and for the riot which ensued after the officers were acquitted by an all white jury. The LA riots left 55 people dead, and hundreds injured.

Just imagine all the people that were killed an injured, just because this dirtbag got a well deserved ass whippin'. This piece-a-crap wasn't worth it.

This is incredibly sad if only because he was so young. From what I've read, he was intoxicated and having some kind of breakdown. In cases like these, the most I usually hope for is that the deceased is finally at peace. I hope that for him.

What about all the innocent people--most of them black--that were killed, or injured over this clown?

He was drunk and ****ed up on dope, driving a car down the street. It could have been the same street your family travels on. Then, when he gets busted, he wants to do battle with the cops. Was this asshole really worth the lives of the people that died during the riots?

Your behavior in this thread is disgusting. The world would benefit with less people like you. And no, King wasn't in the street rioting and killing people. Only the rioters are responsible for their actions, as much as you're responsible for your statements in this thread.

What's really disgusting is ALL the LIBERALS compassion for this scumbag criminal and hailing him a hero... but then again ALL LIBERALS hail scumbag criminals as heros such as Rodney King, Bill Ayers, Eric Holder, Bradley Manning, George Soros.

Personally, I don't feel any malice toward R. King. I feel more for his family who had to deal with his addiction problems over the years.

Instead, he walked away with 3.8 million bucks in his pocket.

I am old enough to know the entire trial or story of Rodney King. All I know is a man died today and he is gone. I didn't know him, but I am not going to celebrate his death or express hatred for him. Everybody makes mistakes and everybody dies. He can't speak for himself but you can. The ironic thing is, I don't see your behavior any better than you claim to see him... and when you die, I am not going to wish you're in hell or jump for joy.

Oh, I remember Rodney King. See, dumb people want to paint this as "Liberals were upset because they arrested a black guy." Really, it was the cops who brutally beat him getting off that got everybody upset. But criminal actions are OK if they're done by the police.

Here was Rodney King, who was really just a dude with problems. In the end, he's not much different from most of us, except for the nature and extent of his problems. That some people want to turn him into a political football, because why pass up a chance to bash "libtards?"

He was a dude that stole a car, ran from the cops in a highspeed chase, was drunk and doped up, and then tried to fight it out with the cops when they finally stopped him.

Anyone that does all that deserves an ass whippin.
