In today's world, The Islamic brotherhood look to have won the Presidency, but the military council, who last week closed down the elected Parliament, have today removed some presidential powers and given themselves jobs for life, by unilateral decree. THERE's conservatism in action. There'll be no messy democracy nonsense while they remain in charge.

You're a big supporter of democracies such as the one in North Korea? Awesome vision of "democracy" you got their. Thanks for letting us know what you really think about democracy.

Well since you hate democracy so much why are you in the U.S.? Shouldn't you be in a nice country that has a dictator?

The Muslim Brotherhood ideology does not represent human rights or democratic ideals. They seek to have sharia law in every corner and crevice of society.

Do you think a military dictatorship represents human rights or democratic ideals?

I never said it did. The poster I was responding to inferred that the MB did by his assertion, "there'll be no messy democracy nonsense while they[military] remain in charge". The Muslim Brotherhood does not, "we will not give any concessions on a genuine, true democracy”. Egypt

Sorry were not goona let this ole wise tale get thrown out there, Naziism is just another brand of socialism with Nationalistic views. If you knew anything about the early days of Hitler and who he hung out with (see Ernst Rohm) you'd realize that Hitlers had many left leaning views. Todays right winger is associated with Free market Capitalism, religion and the rights of the individual as opposed to collectivism. None of which was embraced by the Nazi regime.

I'll ask you the same question.... Do you think the Muslim brotherhood represents human rights or democratic ideals...... is Sharia law in your mind a democratic ideal? Then we have the peace treaty with Israel which the Brotherhood Leadership says will be scrapped probably leading to another war with Israel in which Egypt will once again be humiliated. Then there are the coptic christians who will suffer greatly under the brutality of the brotherhood.

No I think the country and the world for that matter will be in much better shape keeping peace with Israel, leaving the copts alone and continuing to collect there annual billion dollars from the U.S.

Another totally ignorant statement by Manc Skipper, by my estimates the Brotherhood is far more (religiously & socially) conservative than the military.
