Eric Holder grilled over Fast and Furious in Congress

It isn't an excuse; it's a hypocrisy detector. Person supports republican bad act that kills thousands of Americans but howls at the moon over democratic bad act that arguably contributed to two American deaths. Person my be motivated by partisan politics.

and this is why it is a poor debate tactic. So a guess your ok with our politicians ignoring Holder's actions?

Like I've said several times, whoever authorized and supervised the operation should be ****canned. There's no indication that Holder was involved in those decisions.

We definitely know Holder lied to Congress under oath, so there's a crime right there.

Yep, if you ever bothered to read the facts of the case rather than whining because your guy got caught with his hand in the cookie jar, you would know that.

Holder should be kicked out of office for incompetence if nothing else.

A: no, we don't know that.

FDR didn't start WWII, Truman didn't start the Korean War, and LBJ didn't start the Vietnam War. Bush started the Iraq War based on false and faked up intelligence.

You mean the "false and faked up" intelligence he got from your side?

"One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them.
That is our bottom line."
President Clinton, Feb. 4, 1998

"If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass destruction program."
President Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998

"Iraq is a long way from USA but, what happens there matters a great deal here. For the risks that the leaders of a rogue state will use nuclear, chemical or biological weapons against us or our allies is the greatest security threat we face."
Madeline Albright, Feb 18, 1998-

"He will use those weapons of mass destruction again, as he has ten times since 1983."
Sandy Berger, Clinton National Security Adviser, Feb, 18, 1998

"We urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S.Constitution and Laws, to take necessary actions, (including, if appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq's refusal to end its weapons of mass destruction programs."
Letter to President Clinton, signed by Sens. Carl Levin, Tom Daschle, John Kerry, and others Oct. 9, 1998

et al.

Bush lied about weapons in Iraq?* What about the Democrats-Truth!

You really need to talk to someone about this "Bush lied", "its Bush's fault" that it consuming you. Take a deep breath and let it go...

Now can we get back to the thread?

I bet Bush did not know the intelligence was false and faked up anymore than Holder knew about this.

Bush inherited Iraq and then 9/11. You didn't hear him blame Clinton for 4 years. Of course it takes a bigger man to accept responsibility. That might not be something taught in the crowd BO hung out with.

appears somebody repeatedly skipped history class to find any of that credible

In the same ways that "Bush started the Iraq War", FDR, Truman and LBJ started their wars and conflicts. FDR set up the conditions for our entry into the war and was solidly behind Lend/Lease. Truman used the viral propoganda from WWII to enter the Korean Conflict. And LBJ just plain made up the Gulf of Tonkin.

So, if it turns out that Holder was involved, as the bossman, shouldn't he be ****-canned? That's one of the things the hearings Holder has been ducking and dodging are trying to determine.

Hey AdamT, you were supposed to get me the evidence showing your claim of "false and faked up intelligence" and you haven't. Now I know you have this proof you told me you did. Thanks.

apparently you are the only remaining human on the planet who does not realize that the iraq war was based on fabricated 'intelligence'
even Colin Powell, who presented that 'evidence' to the UN, admitted that it was bogus on last evening's daily show

Then you have this concrete evidence document showing this. Good. I await your posting this 'evidence'. Thanks.

Since you're on vacation, I'll leave this note for when/if you return: I never claimed FDR started WWII nor the others... and I agree Bush invaded Iraq based on what we now know was faulty intelligence but you're asinine view that he apparently woke up one morning and decided to invade Iraq is 100% baseless BS. Saddam as you well know was for 12 years prior under a coalition no fly zone after Gulf War I. FDR, Truman nor LBJ were forced into a war. No one invaded the U.S., those were wars of choice, and WWII at least was the last proper and legitimate war the U.S. was involved in. Korea and Vietnam were much worse, and since you seem to hold very dear the numbers of dead soldiers (assumably because you CARE so much about servicemen and women) then you should be really hot about LBJ and Truman but you're not. Imagine that. [/sarc]

I sure did enjoy that video from Stewarts show.

What I heard from Gen.Powell was "I thought it was correct, we all thought it was correct", speaking of the WMDs.

So again where's your proof? Thanks.

you watched but did not listen
can't help you with that
Powell acknowledged the intel was bogus and should not have been used
he also acknowledged that our leaders were warned that the information was unreliable
but it was used anyway because no one was going to approve of going to war without it

"I thought is was correct" was what he said. Now I'm sure that you in your mind heard "Everyone knew it was bogus and led me down the rosie path and that's why I bought into the Iraq War". But he didn't.

Got some real proof? I guess not. Thanks for playing.

Not really.

Congressional Record: September 26, 2002 (Senate)

HOMELAND SECURITY

In September 1998, the Intelligence Community obtained information that Usama Bin Laden's next operation could involve flying an aircraft loaded with explosives into a U.S. airport and detonating it; this information was provided to senior U.S. Government officials in late 1998.

In the fall of 1998, the Intelligence Community received additional information concerning a Bin-Laden plot involving aircraft in the New York and Washington, DC, areas;

In November 1998, the Intelligence Community learned that a Bin Laden was attempting to recruit a group of five to seven young men from the United States to strike U.S. domestic targets.

In the spring of 1999, the Intelligence Community learned about a planned Bin Laden attack on a U.S. Government facility in Washington, DC.

Additionally, in 1999, the threat of an explosive-laden aircraft being used in a suicide attack against the Pentagon, CIA headquarters, or the White House, was noted in a Library of Congress report to the National Intelligence Council.

In late 1999, the Intelligence Community learned of Bin Laden's possible plans to attack targets in Washington, DC, and New York City during the New Year's Millennium celebrations.

On December 14, 1999, an individual named Ahmed Ressam was arrested as he attempted to enter the United States from Canada with detonator materials in his car. Ressam's intended target was Los Angeles International Airport. Ressam, who has links to Usama Bin Laden's terrorist network, has not been formally sentenced yet.

In March 2000, the Intelligence Community obtained information regarding the types of targets that operatives in Bin Laden's network might strike. The Statue of Liberty was specifically mentioned, as were skyscrapers, ports, and airports, and nuclear power plants;}

Senator Specter on Homeland Security and Intelligence

Somebody in the Clinton's Meatball Up Circus knew about the airliner plot. One would think that there might be a shred of brains enough to check the U.S. Flight schools for anybodys name that might stand out. 1998, isn't that 2 years before Clinton left office? Atta and his pals trained in the United States right under Clinton's nose in early 2000. Just sayin.

The issue I'm raising is the feigned outrage of the far right. Thus the comparison.

Oh, so you're admitting that the kerfuffle over Iraq by libs was feigned....Thanks for admitting that.
