No, that's one of the ways the dead vote. The party knows who those dead "voters" are, and where they're registered. As you mention, if you're already registered, you give them your name and you get a ballot. Bus in a bumch of people, tell them who to be, drop them at the right polling place, and whammo, the dead get a say.

It's an old trick that goes all the way back to the democrats of Tammany Hall, refined by the Chicago democrat machine.

You should wait until the chickens have hatched before counting them.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

In what might offer a hint of the outcome, CNN reported the following from exit polls:

The electorate was also divided along their opinions of the collective bargaining limitations, with 48% disapproving and 50% approving.

Exit polls show close Wisconsin recall race – CNN Political Ticker - CNN.com Blogs

If the collective bargaining issue was the major issue of the race, this exit poll could suggest a narrow victory for Governor Walker. Factors such as the improved fiscal situation in Wisconsin and increasing employment could also favor Walker.

I see. When Republicans whine through Fox Nation it's serious business... but when the dems bitch about GOP shenanigans as usual during elections... that's to be ignored. Gotcha.

You are wrong. You need to show ID to register, and you can't vote without registration.

NOTE: Proof of residency is required for voter registration and must be current and valid. The purpose of the proof of residency document is to establish the voter’s current address, not to prove that the voter complies with the 28 consecutive day residency requirement. The voter’s sworn statement on the registration form that they meet the 28-day requirement shall be presumed to be true unless the inspector or a challenger has first-hand knowledge sufficient to question the certification.

What dirty tricks? The trick that wouldn't work that "Mike" says is happening?
