Catawba, why do you wish to continuously derail this thread?

Legal Consequences Of a Cyber Attack

"Is it legal to use cyber technology to attack another country?

Host Aaron Schachter speaks with law professor and retired general Charles Dunlap about the international legal ramifications of the US launching cyber attacks against another country, as the New York Times reports has been done by the US against Iran."

Again with the nonsense cat. You continuously wish to bring is convention warfare and the military, this thread is about Cyber warfare and it's effect. Not Obama "withdrew the troops from Iraq, began drawdown of the troops in Afghanistan and proposed cuts to military spending?"

Yep, but then they found out he wasn't willing to play ball (financial regulation and cuts to military spending) so are now funding Romney who supports bank deregulation and increased military spending.

"No other candidate came close to the $12 million Romney's campaign raised directly in 2011 from individuals who work at financial firms and banks, which also includes cash from insurance and real estate companies, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.

By comparison, Obama's campaign raised $5 million from people who worked on Wall Street last year, the Center for Responsive Politics reported."

Re: Massive cyber attack on Iran came from U.S., report says

My only real issue with cyber warfare is that, like fallout, it ends up affecting us all. Let's say uncle sam develops one HECK of a solid viral program, something designed to infiltrate secure systems, and either collect data, or wreak havoc...and let's say that uncle sam unleashes that program on an enemy. Guess what that enemy now has? At the very least, an archetype of that program...but most likely, they would have all the code needed, just from having the program on their hard drive, to develop something of their own that is very similar. And sure, this will likely NOT work on uncle SAM'S systems...but what about MY computer? You see, our "enemies" don't mind attacking civilians, rather than the conventional government on government warfare. It's not like Norton is going to be "in the know" about a program developed by the DOD or NSA. So they are no help, in the event that a massive cyber attack, targeted NOT at the pentegon, but at the REST of the US, should happen.

So what about Obama's fundraising with the Wall Street fat cats? Isn't he in New York with Bill Clinton at the home of hedge fund manager Marc Lasry, continuing to ask for and receive donations from Wall Street? Tickets to the event are $40,000 each.

Maybe he can use that money to pay for more cyber attacks.
