Vikings get their new stadium, but fans are still subjected to 'blackout' rule

And all the politicians who support SOPA and PIPA are wondering why online piracy exists....

Taxpayers pay for the new stadium. Fans pay high ticket prices to support multimillion dollar contract for players.
I have never supported the idea of public funded stadiums. I have even supported the effort to keep taxes low for everyone, including the rich. I now change my mind. Sports that use tax dollars to build facilites should have the players/coaches/owners taxed at an effective rate so income is no more than $250K.

My friends from Minnesota are divided. Those in the Twin Cities are okay with still paying a boatload in taxes for the Twins stadium, others are not. The hypothetical Vikings Stadium would divide them even more in support (one expressed his happiness so far). Those who are further away from the stadium are pissed off as all hell they are putting up with the taxes for the Twins stadium alone.
