    Re: Arpaio Faces a New Sheriff in Town

    There are no sexual taboos in the left's world.
    So are you now saying that Sheriff Joe is a "leftie"? I thought all of the right was like really super "pro-life" or is that only for a few cells that you can only see with a microscope?

    MCSO failure to investigate dozens of sex crimes means offenders still free, victims still in danger

    According to police reports we’ve obtained, victims were denied justice when Maricopa County sex crimes detectives never even bothered to investigate dozens of cases. Of those cases, we found the following:

    * The children who were victimized were never interviewed.
    * Witnesses were never questioned.
    * Evidence was never collected.
    * Child sex offenders were never arrested.

    This is a story about young victims who may still be in danger. According to MCSO’s own internal investigation, as many as 400 sex crimes cases countywide may have been botched.

    The detectives responsible were never held accountable. Their boss has declined to answer questions about what happened and why.
    Before posting evidence of ignorance,
    Why aren't you attacking the El Mirage police department, why are you attacking the county sheriff office instead?
    maybe you should read a bit more -
    Case after case involves children, some as young as 3, who said they were molested and simply ignored.

    They lived in El Mirage at a time when the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office had a contract to handle the city’s sex crimes cases.

    I liked his post because I agree with most or all of what he said.The majority of the 12-20 million plus illegals do come from Mexico.12-20 million trespassing into another country is an invasion.
    "A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

    Bummer. But got to prioritize. A few sexual offense cases is nothing compared to an invasion.

    400+ cases of sex crimes that were not investigated is "nothing compared to a (non-existent) invasion"? For some reason, I think the failure of a government agency (MCSO) to investigate crimes against a minority group just might cause members of the afflicted minority to lose faith in the government that is supposed to be protecting them.

    Just a small follow up. wonder if it made the news in your area.

    Among the 432 cases, 19 people have been arrested. Sheriff's officials say 116 cases were deemed to have no basis in fact to move forward or had accounts that didn't add up, and 224 cases were turned down by prosecutors or didn't have enough evidence to bring to prosecutors

    Arpaio accepts blame for botched sex cases, says aide - The Prescott Daily Courier - Prescott, Arizona

    and the estimate of illegal aliens in AZ is 460,000. So what number would it need to be to count as an "invasion"

    They profile people for being brown? I thought they profile people who break the law.

    Arpaio's justification is "profiling helps us find people who MIGHT have broken the law (because they are brown", that last bit said sotto voce

    FBI profiling is used to narrow a search for a criminal offender - little bit different

    The FBI and other law enforcement collect statical data on law breakers and use that information to create a "profile" for potential offenders. Ever take a course in statistics?

    That's nice, but it doesn't support your apparent contention that the constitution authorizes otherwise unconstitutional police behavior simply because the police are attempting to curtail illegal immigration.
