Baby, 18 months old, ordered off plane at Fort Lauderdale airport

Hatuey-

You are no fun at all!!!!! ;)

I fly a lot, seem the 'undercover' air marshall's, they stick out badly. Flew when armed soldiers patrolled the terminals. Been frisked and questioned, all things considered nothing I didn't go through getting into many bars.

Funny when they pooch the deal everyone stands up and barks like a well trained dog.

The oddest thing about it all is most the whiners don't fly, are clueless what really happens...

But damn sure have to rant away...

I went though Charlotte Douglas and Pheonix International last month. Boring flights to say the most. Got frisked 2 times and then the small bother of having to answer a few questions. Then I got on a plane. Ive grown a bead and have my daughters name and Arabic writing on both arms. NOTHING happened to me. I wasnt taken aside, I wasnt flagged, I wasnt even asked about some of the pottery I bought in Phx. However like you suggested, most people who bitch about he TSA dont fly regularly. Id be willing to bet dollars to rocks that some of them havent even been on a plane in the last 6 months.

I'll say it again TSA = Too Stupid for Arby's

And proven every day of they're mindless existence.

Everyday millions of people all over the US fly without a problem. We're talking about thousands of daily flights where nobody is flagged as being a terrorist. A few mistakes get made every now and then and people are calling for the defunding of the TSA. Frankly, it's ridiculous.

I wouldn't say we fly without a problem. Huge use of TSA affects everyone going through the airport. And yes, some get through and yes TSA should be defunded. Mostly because TSA is an aggressive branch of the military making inexcusable breaches of privacy and search. And that's not just some isolated case, it's generalized use of government force.

Are you majoring in acronyms?

Who are we? I fly a minimum of 4 times a month and have yet to see any aggression from the TSA. ****, most people clap at the end of the flight for the people ensuring they make it to the other side without blowing up in mid air. Your emotional and completely disconnected opinion is noted though. I only see responses like yours on websites. Most people at airports go through without complaining. It must be like a meme where you get points for joining the sheep and complaining about an agency you seldom deal with.

I saw two TSA agents start fighting each other in the security line in NC a few years back.

I fly on average at least twice a year. And I have done so since before 9/11. They really have gone too far. It really isn't necessary for the small amount that they likely prevent with the new security measures.

And yes, it is very annoying to fly when everyone has to stand in line and is treated like we're all terrorists because they can't figure out how that we are already relatively as safe as we are going to get. In fact, we were almost as safe as we were going to get before 9/11. The biggest failure in our security prior to 9/11 was that everyone was taught that if terrorists take over your plane, you do nothing to provoke them and you will get out alive, no matter what they are using to hold the plane with.

I don't like losing freedom for security. Terrorist attacks are tragic but lost freedom is worse.

I have highlighted the parts of your post which show why the supposed aggression of te TSA is not common place or even something the majority of passengers deal with.

That's because if you complain too loudly in line, you'll likely see some consequences there of. The fact of the matter is that terrorism plots which blow up planes are exceedingly rare events, low probability systems which have little to no significant impact on the chances of death in life. The overreaction of government and the aggressive search procedures used are unwarranted.

What continues to stun me is the lack of common sense--making a state senator remove his prosthetic leg, refusing to allow a Green Beret with documentation to fly because he is carrying a little screwdriver to undo part of his jaw wiring if he chokes, the groping of people like Geraldo Rivera. No common sense. No decency in the humiliation of old ladies whose Depends are checked.

Just doing their job, dude.

Feed that baby a can of chili just before the flight and that plane is going down.... WMD -- Weapon of Mass Diarrhea

And for the partisan quip of the day... wasn't the TSA brought to us by a Republican administration and Congress?

What president is running the TSA now? Are you saying Obama has no control? Thanks for confessing what most thinking people know.

Sent from my blasted phone.
