Funny, I didn't read that anywhere.
"Legal experts note that allegations that police at Scotland Yard received payoffs in return for information risk placing News Corp. in violation of the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, which makes it a crime for American firms to bribe foreign officials. The U.S. Justice Department is investigating.

Likewise, the FBI has begun a preliminary probe into a shocking - but unsubstantiated - report in the U.K. media that Murdoch's tabloid reporters sought to hack into the phones of victims of the 9/11 attacks. There are other American tentacles to the scandal, including a claim that actor Jude Law was in the U.S. when Murdoch journalists tried to hack his phone, and a hacking allegation reported in the New York Times about an obscure American Murdoch subsidiary and a business rival."

    (chuckle)

Look; Rupert Murdoch has opend up a hole that is going to be pounded until his entire empire splits apart: we just haven't started on him over here yet. He is an American citizen you know, so once we've found the grip - the wolverines are going to be let loose. The entire world has had it with guys like him: it's pornography.

Once Fox News has gone what will people be watching? Do you feel the absence of Fox News would create a void that the BBC might possibly fill?

Re: Rupert Murdoch's Fox broadcast licences targeted by US ethics group

Fox News is not gonna disappear, there are too many billionaire types who will take up the reins if, and that should be IF, Rupert and his son are found guilty of criminal activities. Rupert and James may lose control of NewsCorp but don't forget the second largest shareholder is Prince Al-Waleed Bin Talal who could quite easily buy out Rupert and the other Murdochs - he's got more money than they have.
“And I have no doubt that every new example will succeed, as every past one has done, in shewing that religion & Govt will both exist in greater purity, the less they are mixed together.”

Fox News will still be on the air in the US. I know you don't like that idea, but learn to accept it and you'll be better for it.

It isn't. That's why I was curious about the novel take which appeared unaware of the fact that Murdoch and his fitness or otherwise is the topic.

British leftists have a thing against Rupert Murdoch and anyone, or anything, which doesn't reflect the views of the BBC and the Guardian. That's largely why they're all so seriously misinformed or uniformed.
