Politics Obama administration points to rise in GSA costs under Bush amid conference

Re: White House points finger at Bush administration for GSA debacle

It's been a long time since I've seen any administration accept blame. That buck is always stopping some place else. What we have to do is determine the facts, which may mean one or the other is responsible, or both, or neither.

Good point. Been a while since any politician, let alone the president, has accepted blame for anything. Wonder when people will stop accepting the BS and start holding politicians responsible regardless of party affiliation.

As long as we see it as my team versus yours, I doubt much will change.

Unbelievably believable.

Liberals are wildly incapable of accountability. But....I guess that's what makes them liberals in the first place.

Seriously, do you really believe this swings just one way?

Re: White House points finger at Bush administration for GSA debacle

FYI - when a new President comes in, the entire executive branch is not let go and replaced with new people.

Perhaps you didn't know that.

There might even be some Clinton people left over.

Fortunately we have cons such as yourself who constantly take responsibility for the problems caused by the right. Yawn.

Of course. He heard that on Right Wing Radio and Fake News.

You knew eventually Bush would pointed at as the ultimate "ner-do-well".

When the SCOTUS slaps down Obamacare as unconstitutional, please, please, please, it will the Bush Administration that caused that failure too. Can't possibly be anything else.

Re: Politics Obama administration points to rise in GSA costs under Bush amid confere

Have you given them responsibility for anything positive?

Yes. Plenty. I even voted for Obama in the last election and may do so again. I havent decided yet. Which, honestly, is not relevant but you asked. This whole thing (and many others) isnt about who I blame or dont blame or give credit for. This is about accountability. Which is something I would value in a president. Is it so much for them to step up say they messed up and that they are going to fix it? Dont you think its odd that everything good that has happened in this country is a result of Obama and everything bad is a result of Bush? Or vice versa? Or dems vs republicans? There is absolutely no accountability without our government. Boo summed it up perfectly.

As long as we see it as my team versus yours, I doubt much will change.

The majority if politics is not spent promoting their own ideas it demolishing the others.

WTF are you talking about? The abuse occurred when Bush was President. Obama didn't blame Bush -- he just took appropriate action when it came to light. Do you think he should have just ignored it because it happened on Bush's watch?

Re: White House points finger at Bush administration for GSA debacle

This white-African, Fool, Bobo, the Post Turtle, is incapable of taking responsibility for anything.

All is Bush's fault.

So Bush was president in May 2010?

LOL, you people are beyond pathetic.

The problem is that politics has devolved into parents debating with their children. There are no two even-handed sides anymore; there is the adult side (conservatives) and the children's side (liberals). Yeah, yeah, that'll bring the roof down on me here, but I don't care. I don't pay mind to what I do not respect.

When I was growing up, we didn't argue with our parents.

There is a person who has lost all rational credibility.

The abuse took place in 2010.

Re: White House points finger at Bush administration for GSA debacle

The abuse took place in 2010.

Actually -- according to the article in the OP -- the abuse started long before 2010: "the cost of the Western Regional Conference increased sharply under the Bush White House -- from $93,000 in 2004 to $323,855 in 2006 to $655,025 in 2008, then $840,616 in 2010...."

So the cost of the event increased almost 700% under Bush, and less than 30% under Obama. What's wrong with pionting that out?

Re: White House points finger at Bush administration for GSA debacle

Mr. President, you knew about this, you, not former president bush, has the power to implement change, blaming your failure to act on someone who no longer can fix the problem makes you look like a fool.

Mr. Bush is no longer the president. Man up.

Sorry, but it's obvious that Republicans are trying to turn this into a political football. If your team wants to play partisan games, don't whine when the President responds in kind.

It might be fair then to say both hold blame as neither did anything until it made the news. I wonder who is suppose to be watching this?
