Jobs recovery suffers setback in March - Yahoo! Finance

By Lucia Mutikani
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Employers hired far fewer workers in March than in previous months, keeping the door open for the Federal Reserve to provide more monetary support for a still sluggish economy.

Yeah, a bit disappointing after three previous months of 200,000+ jobs growth. On the other hand, it's a lot better than losing almost three quarters of a milion jobs a month, like your boy Shrub was doing when he beat feet out of Washington.

There it is...I swear, it could be 2015 with Obama the liar in his second term, and you Obama sheeple would still be blaming Bush like busted children. Face it, Obama is a fake, a fraud, a failure.

Believe it or not, the past doesn't change just because you want it to. Three years ago Obama inherited a failing economy, and twenty three years from now he still will have inherited a failing economy.

Anyway, the analysis I've seen on the March jobs numbers basically says that the extremely warm winter stole some jobs from spring. IOW, Dec. - Feb. weren't quite as strong as they appeared and March wasn't quite as weak as it appeared. Next month should tell us a lot.

Mild winter may have artificially inflated jobs data, economists fear - The Washington Post

Yeah, of course it's Bush's fault.

On a more serious note, I can't believe this idiot actually has a chance of re-election.

OMFG! You have GOT to be kidding here. You can not say that with a straight face...Yes, Bush did not do a great job in the end of his two terms when he "abandoned free market principles", But now you want to blame Mother Nature? During the months that these jobs you now say were 'stolen' due to warm weather, you were touting how Obama policies were working. Unbelievable.

Look dude, the economy sucks no matter how you manipulate the numbers to make your God look better...The unemployed, and under employed in this country is closer to a 15% number, than the fake 8.2% lie now touted by Obama and his criminal band of communist sympathizers.

It's pathetic how "patriots" will rush to talk their country down at every opportunity because they hate a black man so much.

Are you making excuses for him, or has he been so successful that racism is the only possible reason for opposing him?

That idiot has already served two terms -- he can't run for reelection.

Um, it's not me saying it -- I'm just repeating what the economists are saying. Read the article -- it makes sense. It doesn't mean that the numbers are invalid. It just means that the seasonal adjustments couldn't quite account for the extremely unusual winter season.

"[D]espite the hand-wringing over the weather, economists seem to agree that the fundamentals of the recovery are solid. Bob Baur, global chief economist for Principal Global Investors, said he believes that the second half of the year will pick up steam as state and local governments enjoy rebounds in tax revenue and layoffs slow down."

Nope, the idiot gets one more shot.

Nah, you only get two terms. As the man himself said, "fool me once, shame on, shame on you. Fool me -- you can't get fooled again."

We have enough idiots to get fooled again. We'll see in November.

The fundamentals of the economy are a fiscal policy which creates a $1.3 trillion deficit ( about 9% of GDP) and monetary policy of negative real interest rates.

You call those a solid basis of building an economy???

this thread is an excellent illustration of why i became an independent. as a strict partisan, one spends half the time carrying water and the other half rooting against economic recovery because it is temporarily politically convenient to do so.

What would a thread be without a liberal pulling the race card...

Does lying to prop up a failed president ever get old for you?

Would you prefer the half a million job loss per month we had in 2008?

Any way you want to look at it...any way you want to spin it...the fact remains: This "recovery" is pathetic.

Thanks, Obama...for nothing.

What we have is 24 straight months (or is it 25 now?) of jobs growth, strong corporate profits, strong markets, falling unemployment, rising consumer confidence, expanding manufacturing.... So I'd that things are clearly improving. I don't think anyone is arguing that we won't have to lower deficits in the mid and long term. Trying to lower them now would break the fragile recovery and that would be counterproductive to long-term deficit reduction.

Please note and try to understand that I did NOT say that the economy was not recovering. You said that the FUNDAMENTALS were sound, that is what I took issue with.

As a sidenote I wonder what people mean when they say we need to work on the deficit in the midterm. That has been said for three years now, so what you consider midterm. Also I mentioned monetary policies which have nothing to do with the fiscal issues and which you did not address.

I have not read all of the posts here, can you point to the ones that are "half rooting against economic recovery because it is politically convenient to do so"?
