Unless of course, you think we have been living under a Socialist Economy this whole time where the Government has direct control over all aspects of the workforce.....
So government policy, impacting such as the Keystone Pipleline, the EPA, lack of debt control, Obamacare ... etc ... all of which have major impact on the economy, business expansion, jobs, etc., is not influenced by the President and his party's control in Congress.

    No cigar for you.

Of course he is going to do that, he is a politician.

We can't let politicians convince us to think like them....... That is how they get more power over our lives.

Im not saying it doesn't have an influence......

I'm saying its not in full control of the government.

OK. But bad government does stifle job creation, where less (aka "good") government enables job creation. Obama is bad government. That was the original point made, before this journey into irrelevent hyper-folly.

Sometimes economic "progress"needs to take a back seat to pragmatic considerations. Such is the case of the keystone pipe line. The reason being is that the pipe would cut through a very large fresh water aquifer that its used for drinking and farming and is the main one for the state in question. should the pipe leek the impact would be catastrophic. Not worth the risk and the only reason its done is because its cheaper to cut through.

Personally, that's one of the best decisions Obama made especially since it was the wrong political move to make
