Wasn't the package released after the MB liberalized their position on Israel?
It also seems like none of the people against the MB knows anything about their history. The are one of the more tolerable Islamic groups that exist with any political power.

Hayek - too liberal for republicans
I may not like this, but, the US was contractually obligated and would have had to pay out 2billion in penalties if we did not give the cash.
Obama's administration has given the following reasoning:
Jobs at Home Drive Obama AdministrationThe Obama administrationís decision to begin releasing $1.3 billion in annual military aid for Egypt will avert a disruption in arms sales that might have cost thousands of U.S. jobs and as much as $2 billion in contracting penalties for the U.S. government.
The administration considered the potential loss of U.S. jobs in Ohio, Texas and elsewhere generated by Egyptian military contracts with companies such as General Dynamics Corp. (GD), which sells M1A1 tanks, and Lockheed Martin Corp. (LMT), which sells F-16 jets, according to State Department officials who briefed reporters on the condition of anonymity. In addition, under the contracting terms, the U.S. government might have been liable for as much as $2 billion if the Egyptian aid money were withheld, according to one of the officials.
The motto of the MB:It also seems like none of the people against the MB knows anything about their history. The are one of the more tolerable Islamic groups that exist with any political power.
"God is our objective; the Quran is our constitution, the Prophet is our leader; Jihad is our way; and death for the sake of God is the highest of our aspirations."
The MB is an overtly radical, anti-western, and imperialistic organization.
Obama is a dhimmi.
Americans are so enamored of equality that they would rather be equal in slavery than unequal in freedom.
