Adam, if you would have said " I recognize that complex legislation sometimes requires a long bill." and then given examples of the top ten as you did later, you would not have come across as a petulant child. Busting on bush and then showing an example that does not include the budget of which you spoke, makes you look all the more rediculous.

I don't have an issue with the length of the bill. I have an issue that it was not properly debated in the congress. The length contributed to that, but was not the cause.
As a dreamer of dreams and a travellin' man, I have chalked up many a mile.
Read dozens of books about heroes and crooks and I've learned much from both of their styles!

The problem I have with Ubamacare is that it is unconstitutional, besides that the whole bill sucks. Otherwise I'm fine with it...
If it sounds like Marx and acts like Stalin...it must be Obama

I was speaking to the length only. As to it's Constitutionality.... I agree with you.

Length really doesn't matter if it is unconstitutional.

Well, I'm sorry you see it that way, but I actually didn't criticize Bush at all. I just pointed out that there were plenty of long bills in his administration and no one objected to their length. The one I first referenced isn't on the list, but it was over 1,000 pages (lost the link). Hell, Boener's "No Child Left Behind" was only about 10% shorter, and it obvioiusly covered a much smaller territory.

"The necessaries of life occasion the great expense of the poor. They find it difficult to get food, and the greater part of their little revenue is spent in getting it. The luxuries and vanities of life occasion the principal expense of the rich, and a magnificent house embellishes and sets off to the best advantage all the other luxuries and vanities which they possess. ... It is not very unreasonable that the rich should contribute to the public expense, not only in proportion to their revenue, but something more than in that proportion."

It takes a second ingredient. There must be a loss of character--the loss of integrity and honor. We have arrived.

Shouldn't this thread be moved to the conspiracy theory section now?
